Heart of Christmas week 12

Hello stampers. Here is week 12 of the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop. I hope you have been enjoying our Christmas projects and that it has inspired you to make a start on your own Christmas projects. Time is ticking away, Christmas is only nine and a bit weeks away!

To night's card was a quick but I think effective Christmas card.

I used the Painted Trees 3D Embossing Folder with a piece of Very Vanilla card stock.

To highlight the trees I used a Sponge Dauber and Old Olive ink. I gently sponged the ink over the raised trees. As the embossing folder is one of our especially deep 3D folders it was easy to get lighter and darker tones as the trees have multiple levels.

The greeting is from the Greetings of the Season stamp set and was stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink. It was cut out using a die from the Unbounded Love die set.

I tied a piece of Cherry Cobbler and Gold Satin Ribbon around the bottom of the card and finished it with a bow.
The card mat is Cherry Cobbler and the card base is Old Olive. The final embellishments were some Basic Jewels that were coloured with a Pecan Pie Blends Marker.

The next stop on our Blog Hop is my lovely stamping friend Judy May. Please head to her blog and then follow the links around to see all of the amazing Christmas projects that we have to share with you.

If you encounter any issues with the links in our hop please head to Sharon's blog as she is the wonderful host of our Christmas blog hops and has a complete list of tonight's participants.

Thanks for hopping by,
Rachel

  2. This is really beautiful, Rach. I love the effect you achieved by sponging ink onto the embossed trees. The Cherry Cobbler accents look lovely - both the sentiment, stamped on an angle, and the gorgeous ribbon.

  3. Very elegant card Rachel. You have achieved great variation in the colour on the trees. Thanks for reminding me about the great labels ion the Unbounded Beauty die set too. I don't use those nearly enough!
