Colour Creations Blog Hop week 34 - Melon Mambo Cupcake and Dino

 

Hi Stamping friends, this is the last Colour Creations Blog Hop for this year. Thank you for visiting our blog hops this year and for leaving your lovely comments. We will return on the 8th of Jan with Misty Moonlight,  We are finishing the year with Melon Mambo.

For tonight's card I have used the Pocket Thoughts stamp set. I stamped in Basic White and added a few highlights with my Melon Mambo Blends Marker that was blended with the Colour Lifter. 

The cupcake image was mounted on the reverse side of a piece of Full of Life DSP. The greeting was stamped on the same DSP in Memento Black ink.

I wound a piece of Sheer and Silver Ribbon behind the cupcake.

The final embellishment was some Jewel Rhinestones.

Just in case you thought I was over my Darling Dinos obsession I have one more card to share with you. Of course this card features the new Darling Dinos stamp set. I coloured this cute dino with Melon Mambo and Berry Burst Blends Markers.

The Melon Mambo circle behind the Dino was cut using the Everyday Details Dies. The background DSP was again from the Full of Life DSP Pack.

Colour Creations Blog Hop week 33 - Lost Lagoon Darling Dinos

 

Welcome to week 33 of the Colour Creations Blog Hop. Lost Lagoon is our feature colour tonight. Lost Lagoon is a dusty, blue/green colour that is in our Subtles colour family.

Darling Dinos are back again! I love these cute little guys! This time I coloured the Dinos with Blends Markers in Lost Lagoon, Crumb Cake, Pool Party, Fresh Freesia, Basic Black and Balmy Blue.

The background paper is a piece from another new product called Timeless Plaid DSP. Timeless Plaid is available in Jan next year in the Jan to April Mini Catalogue. To add a bit of texture to the DSP I ran it through my Stampin Cut and Emboss Machine with one of the Basics 3 pack Embossing folders, which is an Online Exclusive product.

A piece of Linen Thread was wrapped around both layers and knotted. I then added another piece of thread to the knot and frayed the ends.

I matted the DSP on Lost Lagoon card stock and then mounted it on a Crumb Cake card base.

Hmm, next week I might try and use a different stamp set....or maybe not. Check back next Wednesday night to find out.

Reindeer Christmas

 

Hello stampers, I'm popping in today with a card featuring the Reindeer Fun Dies. I cannot believe that these dies are on the Last Chance List! Only available until sold out.

The background DSP is from the Take a Bow DSP. The colours used are Real Red, Old Olive, Early Espresso and Mossy Meadow.

Colour Creations Blog Hop week 32- Lemon Lolly Mixed Florals

 

Hello stamping friends, we are celebrating Lemon Lolly in our Colour Creations Blog Hop tonight. Lemon Lolly is a beautiful fresh, soft lemon colour that I find very easy to work with.

For tonight's card I broke open a new stamp set. This set, Mixed Florals, is a new Online Exclusive that is available in January to customers. One of the perks that I love being a Demonstrator is that we can see and order new products early.

I stamped the daisy image in Pecan Pie ink and coloured with Blend Markers in Lemon Lolly, Boho Blue, Old Olive and Pecan Pie.

I stamped the three different ladybirds in Pecan Pie ink and coloured with a light Real Red Blends Marker. I very carefully fussy cut the ladybirds with my Paper Snips. There is a coordinating die for the butterflies but I wanted them to have less of a border.

I cut the main image with a Deckled Rectangle Die and matted it on a piece of Country Inn DSP. This was then mounted on a Lemon Lolly card base.

The greeting is from the Greetings of the Season stamp set and has been heat embossed in white on Lemon Lolly card stock. I used a Blending Brush and Lemon Lolly ink to highlight the greeting.
