Art With Heart Colour Creations - Pretty Peacock

Due to popular demand the Art With Heart Team are continuing our Colour Creations Blog Hops with the new 2019-2021 In Colours. Unfortunately I missed last weeks feature colour, Rococo Rose, but I'm here this week to share my Pretty Peacock creation with you.

For this card I have sponged the background with Pretty Peacock, Pool Party, So Saffron, and Pumpkin Pie. I stamped the man in the chair image from A Good Man in Pretty Peacock on Whisper White and coloured it with Blends Markers.

I created a frame with the Stitched Nested Labels Dies and Pretty Peacock cardstock.

I then ran this through my die cutting machine with the Subtle Embossing folder to add a bit more texture to the card.

The final touch was a piece of Pretty Peacock Scalloped Linen Ribbon across the base of the card.

Welcome New 2019-2020 Stampin' Up! Catalogue

It's finally here! along with it's smaller brother the Beginner Brochure, check them out in the side bar if you haven't seen them already.

I couldn't welcome the new catalogue properly without a card made from one of my favourite new sets called Butterfly Wishes.

I will have lots and lots of new samples to show you in the upcoming days, especially as I may have placed a nice order this morning for even more of the new products.

Final Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop

This is the final Colour Creations Blog Hop for the Art With Heart Team and our final color to feature is Tranquil Tide.

The first card I am showing you unfortunately uses many soon to be discontinued supplies. The stamp set used here is Cake Soiree and the coordinating dies, Sweet Cake. The patterned paper on this card is Share What You Love Specialty DSP. The colours I have used in addition to Tranquil Tide are Mint Macron, Old Olive, Whisper White and Mossy Meadow.

The second card features the Botanical Bliss Bundle. The background DSP is Wooden Textures, which has been one of my most used paper packs in the last two years. Again the other colours used here are Mint Macron and Whisper White. There is a small amount of white embossing under the main image.

I hope you've enjoyed the journey we've taken you on with the Stampin' Up! colours.

Art With Heart Blog Hop - New 2019-2020 Catalogue Creations

Tonight the Art with Heart team are sharing creative products using supplies from the upcoming 2019 - 2020 annual catalogue. If you would like a copy of the brand new annual catalogue, contact any of the girls on the blog hop and we will get in touch with you.

The bundle I have chosen to share with you from the new catalogue is called Bloom and Grow. The stamp set features three large, line art, floral images, five delightful greetings and a smattering of additional foliage to complete your projects.
For the first couple of cards I heat embossed the floral images with Gold Emboss powder and then watercoloured using an Aquapainter. I love how our inks can either be soft and subtle or bright and vibrant as they are here. The dies for this bundle include a scalloped strip which is perfect for creating a band to slip the flowers behind and also feature the greeting.

There are a few added foliage images in the background.

This next card I have seen many variations of on the internet and always wanted to case. The floral images in this set were perfect. The flowers are heat embossed in Gold and then watercoloured. The Unicorn horn is a triangle of Gold Glimmer Paper and the eyes were cut using the tail from the Fox Builder Punch as a guide. The ears were trimmed from ovals and the greeting is from the Magical Mermaid stamp set. The Whisper White background is mounted on a Purple Posy card base.

The remainder of the cards have been stamped with Memento Black ink and coloured with Blends Markers.
I love the colour combination of this card, using Seaside Spray and Petal Pink as the main colours, with a touch of Highland Heather and Bermuda Bay for added interest.

This card uses an autumnal collection of colours with Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Cherry Cobbler, very appropriate for this time of year in Melbourne. This was a very quick and simple card, perfect for a beginner stamper.

The final card I have to share uses another bold combination of colours, Poppy Parade, Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive, with a tiny bit of Balmy Blue on the white flowers for added depth.

These cards were all a pleasure to make, made easier by the coordinating dies to cut out the beautiful images with. I have to tell you I didn't buy this set but borrowed it from my wonderful downline Wendy as I wasn't sure about it, but I now think I will have to add it to my list.
