Colour Creations Blog Hop Week 34 Pear Pizzazz

Woo, hoo! I finally got myself organised to join another Colour Creations Blog Hop. Between being away with sketchy internet and the horridly hot weather in Melbourne I lost my way.
This week we are featuring Pear Pizzazz, a lovely mellow green that is part of our Subtles Colour Family. I have taken a few liberties with tonight's cards as although they both include Pear Pizzazz, it is not the featured colour.
To make these cards I used the Butterflies and Flowers Layering Decorative Masks which are available in our new Jan to June Mini Catalogue.

For all of the butterflies I used Flirty Flamingo for the base colour, with a Blending Brush and the open butterfly mask. I then used the detailed mask and Polished Pink and Calypso Coral ink over the top.

I added the leaves in Pear Pizzazz by using the leaf sprigs in the third mask. Don't tell anyone, but this was a great way to cover up any whoopsies that occurred when I didn't completely cover up the unwanted masks when colouring the butterflies :) .

The background for this card was coloured with Misty Moonlight ink and the floral mask shown above. There are two other background masks in the pack.

To add some texture to the card I punched some sprigs using the Sprig Punch and Pear Pizzazz card stock and attached them around the butterfly.
The greeting for this card is from the Special Moments stamp set.

Same process for the second card, just a different layout. The bottom butterfly uses the same colors as the first, the top butterfly has flowers blended in Polished Pink only.

This greeting is a combination of the Biggest Wish and Artistically Ink stamp sets and is stamped in Polished Pink.

Now it's time to see what the amazingly talented Cathy Proctor has to share with us.

Cathy is also the host of our Blog Hop and she has a complete list of all of tonight's participants in case you have issues.

Colour Creations Showcase week 30 Mossy Meadow

Welcome back to week 30 of the Colour Creations Blog Hop, after a brief break for Christmas and New Year celebrations. I hope you had a wonderfully relaxing holiday break.

This week we are featuring Mossy Meadow which is a lovely, rich, dark green that is one of our Neutral colours.

I received a few new preorder items from the Jan to June catalogue and I could not wait to have a play with them.
To make this card I used the Daffodil Daydream Bundle, which includes the Daffodil Dies and the Daffodil Daydream stamp set.

I used one of the Butterflies and Flowers Layering Masks. I placed a piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock under the mask and adhered the corners with some washi tape to hold the mask in place.

Very gently, I applied Mossy Meadow ink with a Blending Brush in an up and down motion, instead of a circular motion so that the vertical vine strips do not move too much.

All of the daffodil pieces, apart from the solid trumpet, were cut from Daffodil Delight card stock(of course). I shaded the highlight pieces with Daffodil Delight ink and a Blending Brush. The solid trumpet piece was cut from Basic White card stock.

The leaves were all cut from Mossy Meadow card stock. The greeting was stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on Basic White and the ribbon behind the greeting is a small piece of Metallic Mesh Ribbon. The tiny butterfly was cut from Silver Foil card stock.

Although there are lots of pieces to cut out for these flowers I think they are worth the effort. I'm looking forward to experimenting with them further.

All of the supplies I have used to make this card are listed below, with the majority of them featured in the Jan to June Catalogue. If you would like a catalogue and do not already have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator please contact me and I will get on to you.

Now it's time to see what the amazing Dianne Furniss has to share with us.

Colour Creations Showcase week 29 - Misty Moonlight

Welcome to the last week for 2021 of the Colour Creations Showcase with the Art With Heart Team. After this week we will be taking a break until the 5th of January.

This week we are featuring Misty Moonlight which is one of the 2020-2022 In Colours. I love this colour and I will be very sad when it retires in April next year.

I have used a stamp set appearing in the new Jan to June Mini Catalogue called Gumball Greetings. This stamp set is also available in a bundle with the Gumball Machine Dies.

The products in the new catalogue are available to customers from the 4th of January 2022.

I stamped the small gumball machine numerous time with Misty Moonlight ink and coloured them with Blends in Misty Moonlight and Balmy Blue and the Colour Lifter.

The greeting I used is also in the Gumball Greetings stamp set and was stamped in Misty Moonlight ink. I cut the greeting using the Tailor Made Tags Dies. I had to shorten the die cut by first cutting one end then re-positioned the die to cut the other end.

Here's a little peek at one extra gumball machine I added to the inside of the card.

The next blog on our hop belongs to Cathy Proctor, who is also the coordinator of our weekly blog hops. I can't wait to see what she has made with this gorgeous colour.

If at any time you find a broken link, please head to the blog of this week’s host of the AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop, CathyProctor, and she will have the list of all participants.

Thanks for visiting,

Rachel
