Heart of Christmas week 3 - Brightly Decorated With Happiness

Hi stampers, I'm back with week 3 of the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team. Every Monday at 8pm until the 28th of November the Art With Heart Team will be participating in a Christmas themed blog hop featuring only Stampin' Up! products.
For this week's card I am using the Decorated With Happiness Bundle and the Celebrate Everything DSP pack, which is available as a hostess reward in the July to December Mini Catalogue.

I started with a Stitched Rectangle die cut and stamped the three baubles at various heights in Memento Jet Black Ink. I coloured the baubles with Blends Markers in the colours listed below. This layer is matted on a larger Stitched Rectangle piece in Real Red.

I cut the pine branch from the Decorated Pines Dies from Shaded Spruce cardstock and attached it above the baubles.

I chose this colourful stripy sheet of DSP as my card background. These colours are not traditional Christmas colours but I think they are suited to these fun, sketched style baubles.

The greeting is stamped in Real Red and cut out using one of the banner dies from the Stylish Shapes Die set.

The next step in our blog hop takes us to the blog of the lovely and very clever Kathryn Mangelsdorf.

If you have any problems with the steps in our blog hop head to Sharon Davern's blog as she is the host and has a complete list of tonight's participants.

Don't forget that the Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration is on until the end of August. You will receive FREE rewards with all purchases over $90.

Thanks for visiting, and make sure you continue through our blog hop to all of the Christmas inspiration our team has to show you.

Happy stamping,

Rachel

Colour Creations Blog Hop week 11 - Cajun Craze Rustic Harvest

Hello Stampers, welcome to week 11 of the Colour Creations Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team. The eleventh colour alphabetically in the Stampin' Up! colour range is Cajun Craze. Cajun Craze is a deep, rich, rust colour that is in our Regals colour family. I do love this colour but it's not one that I use very often.

For this week's card I am featuring Cajun Craze with the Rustic Harvest DSP from the July  to Dec Mini Catalogue.
I dug out my Watercolour Pencils and used Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Granny Apple Green and Garden Green.

I randomly coloured the leaves with the pencils, then I used a Water Painter to blend the colours.

I mounted the DSP piece with a piece of Cajun Craze 6x6 DSP onto a Cajun Craze card base.

The greeting is from the Go To Greetings stamp set and has been heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. This greeting set has four different greetings in three different sizes and scripts. It's so versatile! The ribbon under the greeting is a piece of Gold & Vanilla Satin Edged Ribbon that has been coloured with a Granny Apple Green Blends Marker.

The final embellishments I added were a few Basic Rhinestone Jewels that have been coloured with a Soft Suede Blends Marker.

All of the Stampin' Up! products used to make this card are listed below and are available from my online store.

Now it's time to hop over to the next blog in our hop which belongs to the very talented Diane Furniss.

If you encounter any issues with the links in blog hop please head over to Cathy Proctor's blog as she is the host of this hop and will have a complete list of tonight's participants.

Heart of Christmas week 2 - Trees For Sale Shaker Card

Hello stampers, I'm back to share week 2 of the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop with you. I know, Christmas already? But just think, if you start making your Christmas cards now you'll be well prepared by the time you need to write your cards.

This week I have used the Trees For Sale stamp set from the July to December Mini Catalogue and the coordinating dies called Tree Lots Dies which are on of the Sale-a-bration rewards currently available for FREE with any $90 purchase.
I used these products to make a shaker card.

I cut the from panel with the three different sizes tree dies. I then stamped the three trees, using the previously cut piece as a guide.
The front of the card was masked with a piece cut from a Basic Borders Dies, a blending Brush and Balmy Blue ink.

I loaded my shaker card with sequins from the Sequins For Everything Pack before assembling the card. I used the large frame from the Fabulous Frames Dies to border my trees. Before attaching this piece to the card from I wound a piece of gold twine around the base of the shaker piece. The card base is Real Red.

It's now time to see what my lovely friend and talented stamper Christine Blain has to share with us. Hop over and check it out, it's amazing!

If you encounter any issues with the links on our hop head to Sharon Davern's blog as she is the wonderful host of our Christmas Blog Hops and will have a complete list of tonight's participants.

Happy stamping,
Rachel
