Thankful Garden Arches

Hi stampers. I have a really quick post today. The card I have to share with you uses some new goodies. The stamp set is Thankful Garden which was coloured using the co ordinating masks and Blending Brushes. Colours are Lemon Lolly, Daffodil Delight and Flirty Flamingo and Old Olive and Mossy Meadow for the leaves.

Behind the flowers is an Arches Die cut that was embossed with the Mini Corrugated Embossing Folder. The DSP is from the Floral Delight DSP and the card base is Daffodil Delight.

Thanks for checking it out,

Rachel

Colour Creations Blog Hop week 16 - Calypso Sunset

Hello stamping friends, it's time for week 16 of the Colour Creations Blog Hop. Every week we have been featuring one of the beautiful Stampin' Up! colours in alphabetical order. This week it's Calypso Coral's time to shine. Calypso Coral is not a colour I use very often so I had a bit of trouble deciding what to make for tonight's blog hop.

I finally decided to use Calypso Coral as part of a very simple sunset card.

I used one of the Stylish Shape Circle dies to cut a mask. I started with Daffodil Delight on the bottom third of the circle with a blending Brush, followed by Calypso Coral and then Poppy Parade across the top of the circle. By fading the edges of each colour together you can get an even variation in colours. I find it useful to dab the excess ink off the brush before blending to avoid getting 'splodges' on your card.

I stamped the tree and the greeting from the Loveliest Tree stamp set in Memento Black ink.

The card mat is Basic Black and the card base is Calypso Coral.

I'm quite happy with how my card turned out using just stamps, ink and paper.
Now it's time for the next blog which belongs to my Art With Heart Team member Amie McIllroy.

If you have any issues with the links in our hop please head to Cathy Proctor's blog as she is the fabulous host of our blog hops and has a complete list of tonight's participants.
For the next three weeks I will be enjoying some R and R on a cruise boat so I will be back on the 11th of September with the Crumb Cake blog hop.

Hopefully my scheduled posts will keep you entertained while I'm gone. I have some more sneak peeks from the new Sept to Dec catalogue to share with you.

See then,
Rachel

Heart of Christmas 2024 week 1 - Sparkly Snowflake Bauble

Oh my, I'm definitely not ready to think about Christmas, but it's a great way to motivate myself to get a start on my Christmas cards.

As this year's new Christmas products are not available until the 4th of Sept (although as a demonstrator we are able to order from the 6th of August :) I have used existing products. For this card I used the Sparkling Snowflakes stamp set and a Blending Brush.

The first step I used to make this card is to make a mask with a circle punch and Masking Paper.

With a Blending Brush I gradually added Cherry Cobbler ink to the circle to create the bauble.

It's a bit hard to see in the photos but I coloured the small snowflake from the Sparkling Snowflakes set with my Wink of Stella Pen. I stamped three of the snowflakes on to the bauble.

The greeting is from the Greetings of the Season stamp set, one of the current Online Exclusives.

The cute little bow on the top of the ribbon is the Silver and White Sheer Ribbon and the hanger on the bauble is the silver from the Gold and Silver Trim Combo Pack.

All of these products are available through my online store.

It's time to hop to the next blog tonight which belongs to my very talented stamping friend Andrea Sargent.

If you have any issues with the links in our hop please head to Sharon Davern's blog as she is the amazing host of our Heart of Christmas Blog Hops.

Thanks for hopping by,

Rachel

Colour Creations Blog Hop week 14 - Bubble Baths Layers of Beauty

Hello and welcome to week 14 of the Colour Creations Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team. This week our featured colour is Bubble Bath. Bubble Bath recently entered our range in the last colour refresh. Bubble Bath is a lovely pale pink the is my go to colour for baby girl cards.

This week I have used Bubble Bath with the Layers of Beauty bundle to make a very special birthday card.

The stamp was coloured directly with the Stampin Write Markers so that I could stamp the flowers in Melon mambo and the leaves in Old Olive. The small daisy flowers were stamped in Azure Afternoon. I stamped on Bubble Bath card stock.

I used the coordinating Layers of Beauty masks and Blending Brushes to colour the image. Colours used are Bubble Bath, Melon mambo, Azure Afternoon, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive. I didn't notice until later that I got some Azure Afternoon on a couple of the roses. I have now ordered some of the smaller Blending Brushes so that I can avoid this happening again. I cut out the image with the matching dies.

I cut the image in half so that I could have a piece of each side of the card instead of one main image in the middle.

I used a Deckled Rectangle Die to cut a rectangle to attach the flowers to. I ended up re cutting this piece from a piece of Bright and Beautiful DSP  and dry embossing for a little more interest. A couple of the leaves are outside the die so that they will extend over the edge of the rectangle.

I cut the letters using the Mini Alphabet Dies from White Glimmer Paper. I coloured the letters using a Blending Brush and Melon Mambo ink. The Happy Birthday is from the Best Family Ever stamp set. I used this set regularly as it has numerous greeting that are very versatile.

The card base is also Bubble Bath card stock.
Now it's time to head to the next stop on our blog hop which belongs to super talented stamper Vicki Boucher. Please take the time to check out all of the blogs in our hop for lots of Bubble Bath inspiration. We really appreciate the time taken to leave us a message.

If you encounter and problems with the links in our hop please head to Cathy Proctor's blog as she is the host of our blog hop and has a complete list of tonight's participants.
