Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase week 35 - Pool Party

Here is week 35 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase. This week we are featuring Pool Party. Pool Party is one of our Subtle colours and it's a lovely soft blue-green colour. Today I've combined Pool Party with Pretty Peacock and white. A very simple monochromatic colour scheme, but I love how these two colours work together.

For this card I cut strips 1.5cm wide by 14cm from the A Whale Of A Time DSP and Pool Party and Pretty Peacock.

The center panel is 9cm square and has been shaded with Pool Party ink and the Blending Brushes.

I used the Playful Alphabet to cut Happy from the same papers I used for the background strips. The Birthday is from the Seaside Notions stamp sets. The coral images are from the Seaside Notions stamp set and are stamped in Pool Party and Pretty Peacock ink. I have used a Wink of Stella brush to add a bit of sparkle to the coral.

The twine was wrapped around before attaching the final piece to the card front.
