Hello stampers. Week 47 of the Art With Heart Colour Creation Showcase brings us Smoky Slate. There is a complete list of all participants on Cathy's Blog, the link is at the end of this post.
Smoky Slate belongs in our neutrals colour family and is a lovely soft gray that compliments the majority of the Stampin' Up! colours.
In honor of our beautiful new Stampin' Up! 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue I decided to feature Smoky Slate with all of our new 2021-2023 In Colours. Hence the very long colour combination below, especially as I added Silver as well.
To make my card I used Smokey Slate as the card base and the background. I embossed the background with the Paint embossing folder that has carried over from the Jan to June Mini catalogue. The mat between is Basic Gray card stock.
I used the smallest rectangle die from the Scalloped Contour Dies to cut out each of the new In Colours. From left to right they are Fresh Freesia, Soft Succulent, Polished Pink, Evening Evergreen and Pale Papaya.
The greeting is from the Colour & Contour stamp set and has been heat embossed in Silver on Basic Gray card stock. I fussy cut around the greeting then adhered it with Dimensionals.
The finishing touch was a few Rhinestone Jewels, every card needs a bit of bling!
I'm very excited that these colours are now part of our range for the next two years, do you have a favourite? I think mine is between Polished Pink and Fresh Freesia.
