Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase week 46 - Shaded Spruce

It's week 46 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase and this week our projects are featuring Shaded Spruce, a lovely rich green in our Regals collection. We are almost at the end of our showcase, but we have decided to extend it for another 5 weeks to include the 5 new 2021-2023 In Colours.

I wanted to use one of the soon to be discontinued stamp set and die combinations for this week's card. I chose the Geared Up Garage stamp set and the coordinating Garage Gears dies.

I started with a Night of Navy card base. The Shaded Spruce background has been stamped in Shaded Spruce ink with the smudge or watermark stamp.

The main gear piece has been cut from Gold Foil paper and the smaller dies have been cut from Just Jade card stock.

I cut the gears from the gold mat before I attached it to the back of the Shaded Spruce piece. I try to be as economical as possible with my supplies so that I can afford to buy lots more! :)

The greeting is stamped in Versamark ink and heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder.

Another masculine card to add to my stash, very happy with this one. If you're quick the dies are still available in our Last Chance Products sale.

For more Shaded Spruce inspiration from the AWHT head to Cathy's blog for a complete list of tonight's participants.

Next we are featuring Smoky Slate in our Showcase.

If you haven't received a copy of the new 2021-2022 Catalogue and would like one, and if you live in Australia, drop me a line and I will get one to you.

Until next time,
Happy stamping,
Rachel

Heart of Christmas - Week 10

Welcome to week 10 of the Heart of Christmas blog hops.
This week I have stars to share with you. When I first saw the So Many Stars bundle is in the Holiday Catalogue I knew it would be perfect for masculine cards, kids cards, congratulations cards and many more occasions as well as Christmas cards.

For this first card I cut the large decorative star from a Gold Foil sheet and layered it on a gold embossed star and a Real Red stitched star.

The background stars were stamped in Versamark and heat embossed in Gold Emboss Powder.

The greeting, also from the So Many Stars set, was stamped in Real Red Ink.

The second card uses the decorative stars in three sizes cut from Sparkly Glimmer paper.

The background stars were again heat embossed, this time in White Powder on Night of Navy card stock. The Night of Navy and Blueberry Bushel card stock was cut with the Stitched Rectangle dies. These are my most used dies and I love them!! They are a must have for anyone with a die cutting machine. The greeting was also heat embossed with White Emboss Powder.

Here's a close up of the beautiful Sparky Glimmer paper.
I  hope you enjoyed my cards, I will be back soon with some of the non Christmas cards I have made with this set.

For more Christmas inspiration head to Claire's blog for a complete list of tonight's participants.

Don't forget...it finishes at 11.50pm tonight!!!

Happy stamping,
Rachel

Art With Heart Christmas Blog Hop

Tonight the Art with Heart team are sharing creative Christmas projects, many featuring products from the upcoming Holiday Catalogue which starts on the 4th of September.
If you would like a copy of the 2019 - 2020 Annual catalogue or the new Holiday catalogue, contact any of the girls on the blog hop and we will get in touch with you. For today's card  I have used the Christmas Gleaming stamp set. No baubles today, instead I used the holly sprig, one of the greetings and the filigree stamp.

The Gold Foil frame has been cut and embossed using the Heirloom  Frames Dies. These dies include the dies to cut the oval and rectangle frames and also the Embossing Folders which create the beautiful details on the frames.

The filigree stamp was used to add some detail to the background Cherry Cobbler card stock in matching ink.
Three holly sprigs were embossed in Gold Embossing Powder. They were then coloured with an Aquapainter and Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce ink and then fussy cut by hand. The card base in Shaded Spruce card stock.

The greeting was also gold embossed and was cut out using one of the Stitched Shapes dies.

The final touch was a gold embossed holly sprig on the inside of the card. Now it's time to visit the very talented Catherine and see her beautiful Christmas project.
If you find a broken link or have come to this blog hop from a different entry point, you can view the participants below:
