Heart of Christmas 2020 - July

Welcome to the first Heart of Christmas blog hop for 2020! The Art With Heart Team will be here every month to share with you some special Christmas inspiration. Considering the crazy year we are having world wide, Christmas will be here before we know it!

The Christmas card I have to share with you today uses a blend of old and new products.

Firstly I punched 5 ornaments using the small ornament punch from the Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack, which is a returning favourite from last year's catalogue. The DSP used here is called Heartwarming Hugs, new in the upcoming Catalogue.

Next I placed a small piece of Adhesive Foam Sheet behind each ornament. I then positioned letters from the Playful Alphabet dies on each ornament and ran then them through my cutting machine.

The letters were very easy to remove from inside the ornament shapes and I was left with a negative letter in each ornament, with Adhesive Foam Sheet on the back. This made it very easy to attach to my Real Red card front, although I did use a ruler to make sure they were straight. The Christmas was stamped in White Embossing Powder. The card base is Pear Pizzazz.

The garland across the top of the card is cut from the new Detailed Dove Dies, which are available on their own or in a bundle with a 10% discount with the Dove of Hope stamp set, in the upcoming Handmade for You Catalogue.

Art With Heart Creative Showcase July - Colouring Techniques

For my card today I have used some of my products from my pre-order for the upcoming August-December Mini Catalogue.

The products used are the Dove of Hope stamp set and the Detailed Dove Dies, which if ordered together in the Dove of Hope Bundle will save you 10%.

For my card I stamped one of the doves in Versamark onto Seaside Spray card stock and embossed with Silver Embossing Powder.

I coloured the dove with White Craft Ink and a Water Painter. While the ink pad was closed I squeezed the top and the bottom of the ink pad together so that a puddle of ink formed inside the lid that I used as my pallet to collect the ink with the Water Painter.

The bauble was painted with a Water Painter and Real Red ink. There is a small section in the middle of the bauble that is painted with a Wink of Stella brush.

The greeting was stamped in Versamark ink and embossed in Silver Embossing Powder. The die used to cut out the greeting is from the All Dressed Up set.

The final touches are two sprigs cut from Red Foil paper and three Rhinestone Jewels.

Art With Heart Colour Creations week 7 - Cajun Craze

Welcome to this week's Art With Heart Team Colour Creation Showcase. This week we are featuring Cajun Craze which belongs to Regals colour family. I don't use this colour as much as some of the other colours so this showcase is the perfect excuse to give Cajun Craze some love.

The stamp set I'm using today is Dino Days and the matching dies called Dino Dies.

The first thing I did was make a quick mask by tearing some paper into mountain range shape. I then used a sponge to apply Cajun Craze ink to the card base to make the mountains.

The tree trunks and the greeting were also stamped on the background in Cajun Craze. The dinosaur and the leaves were stamped on very vanilla and cut out with the dies. The frame around the outside is cut using the Stitched Rectangular Dies from Seaside Spray card stock.
