Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase week 18 - Gorgeous Grape

It's week 18 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase. This week we are featuring the beautiful and bold Gorgeous Grape. I love this fun, funky colour perfect for kids cards.

I dusted off my Dino Days stamp set and had a great time creating these fun cards.

For the first card I stamped the dinosaurs and fussy cut them. The grass is cut using Friendly Silhouettes Dies from Granny Apple Green card stock.

I used the cloud die from the Happy Dies to cut a mask to sponge the sky in both cards in Balmy Blue.

The trees were stamped over the sky background in Soft Suede, Granny Apple Green and Old Olive.
The greeting is embossed in White on Gorgeous Grape card stock.

The second card is a stepped up version of the first. I added a slider mechanism so that the dinosaurs move past each other across the card.

I watched a video on Pinterest by Pear Blossom Press to construct the slider mechanism.

Apart from the slider the only difference with this card is that there are no palm trees and the greeting is from the Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set.

For more gorgeous Gorgeous Grape creations pop over to Cathy's blog for a complete list of tonight's participants.

Thank you fro visiting and I hope you enjoyed my projects.

Happy stamping,
Rachel

Art With Heart Colour Creations week 7 - Cajun Craze

Welcome to this week's Art With Heart Team Colour Creation Showcase. This week we are featuring Cajun Craze which belongs to Regals colour family. I don't use this colour as much as some of the other colours so this showcase is the perfect excuse to give Cajun Craze some love.

The stamp set I'm using today is Dino Days and the matching dies called Dino Dies.

The first thing I did was make a quick mask by tearing some paper into mountain range shape. I then used a sponge to apply Cajun Craze ink to the card base to make the mountains.

The tree trunks and the greeting were also stamped on the background in Cajun Craze. The dinosaur and the leaves were stamped on very vanilla and cut out with the dies. The frame around the outside is cut using the Stitched Rectangular Dies from Seaside Spray card stock.

I'm pleased with how this card turned out, I might have to use Cajun Craze a bit more often.
For more Cajun Craze inspiration head to Cathy's blog for a complete list of today's participants.

All of the products I have used in this card are listed below.

Stampin' Up! are currently running their Bonus Days promotion making now a great time to stock up.

Thank you for visiting, check back soon as I have much more to share with you.

Happy stamping,
Rachel

Art With Heart Blog Hop - 2019-2021 In Colours

Tonight the Art with Heart team are sharing creative projects featuring ll 10 current In Colours. Check out the new 2019 - 2021 in colors and lets not forget the current 2018 - 2020 in colors.

If you would like a copy of the 2019 - 2020 annual catalogue, contact any of the girls on the blog hop and we will get in touch with you.

For my cards today I chose to use the new Dino Days Bundle, which includes the Dino Days photopolymer stamp set and the Dino Dies.

I also used the coordinating Dinoroar DSP which features many of the In Colours.

My first card has the tall dinosaur, I think it looks like a Diplodocus, stamped in Rococo Rose, with Pretty Peacock and Lovely Lipstick spots. The greeting is stamped in Lovely Lipstick and there are two strips of Pretty Peacock Scalloped Linen Ribbon in the background. I  love this new ribbon!

The next card features a baby T-Rex stamped in Terracotta Tile, hatching out of an egg. This would make a perfect baby card for either a new born boy or girl. The Dinoroar DSP in the background is well matched to this theme. I sponged the egg slightly with Old Olive to copy the DSP.

The final card I have for you has the Pterodactyl stamped in Pretty Peacock, as is the greeting. The Stegosaurus is stamped in Mango Melody with Pretty Peacock spots and spikes. The palm tree is also part of this awesome set. The card base is Pool Party. This set is so easy to use being photopolymer and also as it has coordinating dies.

Next stop on the Blog Hop is the amazingly talented Catherine Proctor.
