Real Red Arched Wishes

Another card from the Arches Wishes Stamp Set. This card was made for our team Instagram Hop featuring the Stampin' Up! colour Real Red. As it's called it really is a true red colour that's one of my favourite for Christmas projects. I thought it was a bit early in the year for Christmas so I went for a birthday project instead.

First the cupcake was stamped on the circle. I also stamped the cupcake on a couple of the sheets from the Take a Bow DSP. I cut out the icing and the base of the cake from these sheets to colour the image. The candle was stamped on White Glimmer Paper in Stazon Black Ink.

The background Real Red piece was embossed with the Mini Corrugated Embossing Folder. The stars were cut using the Merriest Trees Dies.

Personalised Special Project

I have a special project to share with you that I had to wait until after the event just in case.

My oldest son was in the wedding of the first of his group of friends. The beautiful couple tied the knot on Saturday so I can safely share the card I made for them.

I used their initials and their colour scheme of champagne and gold for the basis of my card. LOTS of retired products were used to make this card, including the Large Letters alphabet, the Scalloped Contours Dies, Floral Embossing folder and the Naturals Ivory cardstock for the card base.

The greeting is from the Lifetime of Love stamp set. The tiny flowers were cut using a retired punch and then the edges were embossed in gold. The leaves are from a recent SAB reward.

The greeting panel was cut with a dies from the Unbounded Dies set. I even unboxed my Envelope Punch board to make a co ordinated envelope to match the card.

I think I might get a lot more practice at these cards, there seems to be a flood of weddings coming, yay!

Thanks for visiting,
Rachel

Colour Creations Blog Hop week 29 - Gray Granite Classic Wedding

Hi stamping friends, I had a wonderful time playing with a new stamp set bundle from the Online Exclusives range called Classic Wedding for this week's Colour Creations Blog Hop. This week's feature colour is Gray Granite.

The description of the Seasons of Elegance DSP states it includes Gray Granite, but it is only in tiny amounts. I decided to use this beautiful paper for my wedding card anyway.
I stamped the car outline in Versamark on Crumb Cake card stock and embossed it with gold embossing powder.

I coloured the image with the solid stamp and Gray Granite ink. Although the effect is quite subtle it adds a bit of depth to the image. I stamped the tyres in Basic Gray ink.

I cut out the image with the coordinating die. To decorate the back of the card I embossed the outline of the banner in Gold embossing powder, then stamped the greeting in Moody Mauve ink. The leaves are stamped in Pretty Peacock, stamped off once and the flowers are cut from Moody Mauve and Bubble Bath card stock.

I cut a piece of Season of Elegance Paper and matted it on Moody Mauve card stock. The card base is Very Vanilla. On the top right and the bottom left of the card front I stamped some hearts in Versamark and embossed them with Clear embossing powder.

The final element was a piece of Gold Twisted thread wound twice around the card front.

Now it's time to head to the next stop on our blog hop which belongs to my lovely stamping friend and the host of our Colour Creations blog hops Cathy Proctor.
You will also need to head to Cathy's blog if you have any issues with the links in our hop as she has a complete list of tonight's participants.

Heart of Christmas week 11 Surfing Santa Fancy Fold

Hello stamping friends. Welcome to week 11 of the Heart of Christmas blog hop with the Art With Heart Team. Every week until the end of November we will be here to share some Christmas inspiration with you.

For this week’s card I have returned to the Surfing Santa stamp set. This is a stamp only set from the catalogue which means there are no coordinating dies.

I stamped the main image on Basic White card stock and then coloured with Blends Markers. With a mask over the Santa image, I stamped the first wave in Coastal Cabana. I cut out the image with the largest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies. The  circle was mounted on a very simple fancy fold card.

I cut an A4 sheet in half lengthwise for the card base. I scored down the middle on the short side and the folded it in half. I trimmed 5cm off the front edge. The square on the front is 7.4cm and has been attached on the edge of the front as a diamond. The Garden Green mat is 7cm square.

I used one sheet from the Take a Bow DSP and another from the Reindeer Days DSP as background papers. The Santa image was attached to the Garden Green mat with Dimensionals. I stamped and cut a second wave image to attach in from of Santa.
The greeting is stamped in Real Red and cut with another Stylish Shapes Die.
All of the products are available through my Online Store.

For the next stop in our blog hop please proceed to Judy May's blog to see what amazing project she has to share with us.

If you encounter any issues with the links in our blog hop please head to Sharon Davren's blog as she is the fabulous host of our Christmas blog hops and has a complete list of tonight's participants.
