Colour Creations Blog Hop week 12 - Berry Burst Masterfully Made

Hi stampers, it's Wednesday so time for another Colour Creations Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team. Every week we have been featuring one of the beautiful Stampin' Up! colours. This week we are featuring Berry Burst, which is a previous In Colour that has returned to the range in the Brights Colour Family.

The card I have to share with you is the one I made for my daughter for her birthday. She fell in love with the Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper(DSP) when it arrived so I wanted to use it for her card.

I chose the sheet with the all over pattern and cut a piece 10 cm by 20cm, to make a slim line card. The Happy Birthday from the Wanted To Say Dies was cut from Pretty Peacock for the base and Soft Shimmer Specialty Paper for the top layer.

So that the 22ND and MIKI stood out on the busy DSP I layered a piece of Soft Shimmer Speciality Paper in Fresh Freesia on Foam Sheet. I then cut out the pieces I needed with the Alphabet A La Mode Dies. The Foam Sheet has the added advantage of being self adhesive making the fiddly letters much easier to attach.

The final elements on my card are some flowers. I wanted the flowers to be in a similar style to what is pictured on the DSP. I used the Petal Park Builder Punch to punch two sets of petals from Berry Burst card stock and one from Blackberry Bliss card stock. I aged and shaped the paper by scrunching it before adhering the three layers together with glue dots. For the center of the flowers I tore a strip of Crushed Curry card stock and then rolled it up and secured the end with some glue.

It had the desired effect, she loved it! The beautiful Masterfully Made DSP made it easy.

All of the products used to make this card are available through my Online Stampin' Up! store.

Until midnight tonight ALL stamp sets are reduced by 15%! Check your wish lists and follow the link above to the store. Use hostess code 7XW3HMYE to enter the draw for a free pack of Rhinestone Basic Jewels with any order of $50.

Colour Creations Blog Hop week 11 - Basic Gray Level Complete

Hello stampers, it's time for week 11 of the Colour Creations Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team. Every Wednesday evening we have been featuring one of the Stampin' Up! colours. This week all of our projects feature Basic Gray, a versatile dark gray from the Neutrals colour family.

For card's today I used the Level Complete stamp set. I was inspired by this sample card from the catalogue.
I quite regularly use the samples in the catalogue for inspiration if I'm struggling. I reversed the colours by stamping the controller image numerous times on Basic Gray card stock with Versamark ink and White embossing powder.

To highlight the other buttons on the controllers I stamped the image on Real Red, Azure Afternoon, Garden Green and Daffodil Delight. I fussy cut the individual buttons with Paper Snips. These teeny tiny pieces were then glued to the Basic Gray card front.

The greetings were stamped on Real Red and Azure Afternoon with Memento Black ink.

All of the products used to make this card are available from my online store.

Now it's time to see what my lovely team member Rachel Palmieri has to share with us. Click on her name or the image below.

If you encounter any issues with the links in our hop please on to Cathy Proctor's blog as she is the wonderful host of our blog hops and has a complete list of tonight's participants.

Please visit again next week when we will be featuring Berry Burst projects.
Thanks for visiting,
Rachel

Colour Creations Blog Hop week 10 - Balmy Blue Baby Bunny

Hello friends, welcome to week 10 of the Colour Creations Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team. This week we are sharing projects that feature Balmy Blue, a lovely soft blue from our Subtles family.
Both of my cards use the rabbit from the Easter Bunny stamp set.
For the first card I coloured the rabbit with Blends Markers in Balmy Blue and a small amount of Bubble Bath. I also stamped and coloured three butterflies with Blends Markers.

I fussy cut the rabbit and the butterflies. The frame around the rabbit is cut using one of the Darling Details Dies from Basic White card stock.

The DSP behind the rabbit is from the Countryside Inn DSP. I used the Best Family Ever stamp set for the greeting. To stamp the 'on' I had to carefully ink only the o and n from Congratulations with a Balmy Blue Stampin' Write Marker.

The card base is Balmy Blue.
For the second card I stamped the rabbit image on to a piece of  Balmy Blue DSP. Again I fussy cut the image. Three more butterflies are stamped and coloured with Blends Markers.

It's a bit hard to see in the photos but I used the Bubble Bath Blends Marker to colour the rabbits nose, ears and foot pads.

I used the smaller frame from the Darling Details around the rabbit for this card. The Balmy Blue panel behind the rabbit is embossed with on of the Basics 3D embossing folders from the Online Exclusives range. You can find all of the Online Exclusives products and others used to make these cards in my online Stampin' Up! Online Store.

Now it's time to head to the next blog in our Hop, which belongs to my lovely friend Sharon Davern. I can't wait to see what she has to share with us. Make sure you visit all the blogs for lots a Balmy Blue inspiration.
