Welcome back to week 30 of the Colour Creations Blog Hop, after a brief break for Christmas and New Year celebrations. I hope you had a wonderfully relaxing holiday break.
This week we are featuring Mossy Meadow which is a lovely, rich, dark green that is one of our Neutral colours.
I received a few new preorder items from the Jan to June catalogue and I could not wait to have a play with them.
To make this card I used the Daffodil Daydream Bundle, which includes the Daffodil Dies and the Daffodil Daydream stamp set.
I used one of the Butterflies and Flowers Layering Masks. I placed a piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock under the mask and adhered the corners with some washi tape to hold the mask in place.
Very gently, I applied Mossy Meadow ink with a Blending Brush in an up and down motion, instead of a circular motion so that the vertical vine strips do not move too much.
All of the daffodil pieces, apart from the solid trumpet, were cut from Daffodil Delight card stock(of course). I shaded the highlight pieces with Daffodil Delight ink and a Blending Brush. The solid trumpet piece was cut from Basic White card stock.
The leaves were all cut from Mossy Meadow card stock. The greeting was stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on Basic White and the ribbon behind the greeting is a small piece of Metallic Mesh Ribbon. The tiny butterfly was cut from Silver Foil card stock.
Although there are lots of pieces to cut out for these flowers I think they are worth the effort. I'm looking forward to experimenting with them further.
All of the supplies I have used to make this card are listed below, with the majority of them featured in the Jan to June Catalogue. If you would like a catalogue and do not already have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator please contact me and I will get on to you.
Now it's time to see what the amazing Dianne Furniss has to share with us. If you have issues with any of the links in our blog hop head to the blog of Cathy Proctor where you will find a complete list of all tonight's participants. Thanks for visiting,
