Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase week 42 - Rococo Rose

Hello, I'm back for week 42 of the Art With Heart Colour Creation Showcase featuring on of my favourite In Colours, Rococo Rose. We have been featuring our Stampin' Up! colours in alphabetical order for the last 42 weeks.

For tonight's card I have paired Rococo Rose with Basic Black and Basic White.

I used a piece of Love You Always Specialty DSP in Rococo Rose and cut it through the middle with one of the Curvy Dies. I then cut a piece of True Love DSP with the stripes with the same die.

The greeting from the Quite Curvy stamp set was stamped in Memento Black ink on Basic White cardstock.

The flower is on another piece of True Love DSP and was coloured with the Rococo Rose and Colour Lifter Blends Markers. I fussy cut around the flower and attached it with Dimensionals. The card base is Basic Black. I attached a Basic White piece inside the card to make it easier to write in and put a strip of Love You Always DSP along the bottom. You can see it slightly in the first photo.

Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase week 41 - Rich Razzleberry

Welcome to week 41 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase. Every week our team has been featuring one of the colours in the beautiful Stampin' Up! range, in alphabetical order. This week we are featuring Rich Razzleberry, which is a lovely purple/red colour that is in our Regals colour family.

I have recently seen numerous cards made using the Isopropyl Alcohol and Blends Marker technique, so I thought I would have a try for this showcase. The main tip I have for you is that you need to use a solution that has a very high alcohol percentage, as in almost 100% I bought my bottle from Bunnings in the Paint Accessories department.

The colours I have used for my card are Rich Razzleberry, Rococo Rose and Mint Macaron.

I used the Blends Markers one at a time, alternating with using the alcohol to blend. I started with a piece of Vellum card stock larger than I needed so that I could choose which section of the finished piece I could use on my card.

Once I had finished with the Blends Markers I got my tub of Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint and a tooth pick splattered small amounts on the Vellum piece. I used the Isopropyl Alcohol to spread out the shimmer paint slightly. This added to the splotchy look of the finished piece.

The butterfly is cut from Champagne Foil paper using one of the Brilliant Wings Dies.
I cut a window in the front Rich Razzleberry piece with a die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies, to form a window to mount the patterned piece behind. I embossed this with the Subtle 3D embossing folder to add a bit of texture to my card.

The greeting is from the Borders Abound and is embossed in Silver Embossing Powder. As I didn't have a Mint Macron Ribbon, I used my Mint Macaron Blends Marker to colour a piece of White Seam Binding Ribbon.

Art With Heart Colour Creation Showcase week 40 - Real Red

This is the 40th week of the Art With Heart Colour Creation Showcase. Every week for the last 40 weeks we have been featuring one of Stampin' Up!s beautiful colours in alphabetical order. This we are featuring Real Red. Real Red is a true, rich red that has been in our range for as long as I have been with Stampin' Up!

I have made two cards this week as I wanted to show you the versatility of this stunning colour.
The first colour scheme I'm using is a feminine combination of Real Red with Petal Pink and Flirty Flamingo.

I used the Fancy Phrases stamp set to make this delicate floral card. I stamped the main image in Basic Gray for a more subtle effect.

I coloured the flowers and the background with Blends Markers. The colours I used are listed below.

The mat I have used is of course Real Red and the card base is Petal Pink. The two ribbons across the card are the same colours.

The greeting also comes from the Fancy Phrases stamp set. I have heat embossed it in white on Real Red card stock. I cut the greeting with one of the Tasteful Labels Dies.

I even found time this week to stamp and colour the inside of my card. I don't do this often enough, but it really finishes off the cards beautifully.

For the second card I chose a masculine colour scheme of Real Red, Misty Moonlight and Rich Razzleberry. The stamp set I used is Moving Along, which can be found in the 2020-21 Annual Catalogue.

I stamped lots of the cars in Memento Black ink. Then I dug out my Stamparatus and stamped some cars in reverse so that I could have cars driving in both directions. I used 13 cars in total. I coloured the cars in a mixture of Real Red, Misty Moonlight and Rich Razzleberry.

Once they were coloured I fussy cut all of the cars. I arranged the cars on the Basic Black background so that the colours were fairly evenly spread.

The greeting on this card is from the You Are Amazing stamp set. I stamped the speech bubble in Real Red then heat embossed the greeting in white embossing powder. I then fussy cut the speech bubble and attached it with Dimensionals.

I attached some of the cars with glue and a few with Dimensionals to add a bit of height to the card.

Again I had time to stamp the inside of the card. I stamped a row of cars along the bottom of the inside and coloured them with Blends Markers.

The mat is Misty Moonlight and the card base is Real Red. I used a thin strip of Rich Razzleberry card stock along the bottom of the background piece.

I hope I've inspired you to create some projects with beautiful Real Red. For more Real Red inspiration head to Cathy's blog for a complete list of tonight's participants.
