Art With Heart Colour Creations - Grapefruit Grove

This week our colour inspiration colour is Grapefruit Grove, one of the 2018-2020 In Colours.
I found this colour a challenge as it's not a colour I use regularly.

For tonight's card I inked up a new, to me, stamp set called Abstract Impressions.
I have cased this layout from one I saw on Pintrest by Amy Koenders. I love the versatility of this set, it's going to be one that gets well used. The DSP strip is from the In Colour paper stack and the ink colours used are Grapefruit Grove, Calypso Coral, Granny Apple Green and Sahara Sand.

Art With Heart October Blog Hop - Pink

Pink, pink and more pink! That's what today's Art With Heart Blog Hop is all about.
This is one of the easiest themes we've had as I make a lot of pink cards. I had trouble choosing which cards to use today! I finally settled on these three cards.

For the first two cards I used a bundle that I have only just purchased, even though it was one of the first things on my wish list. It's the Love You To Pieces Bundle.

I paired this bundle with the Petal Promenade DSP and beautiful Petal Pink card stock and made this lovely soft card. The card front has been embossed with the Subtle embossing folder for added effect.

The second card uses the same bundle and paper, this time paired with Melon Mambo and Powder Pink for a much brighter card. It's a bit hard to see, but the heart has been die cut into puzzle pieces and then reassembled.

Last but not least, my third card for today features the Beautiful Blizzard bundle which I was lucky to borrow from my downline Wendy. Thank you again Wendy.

The colours used here are Berry Burst and Powder Pink. At first I thought this was only a Christmas set, but the greetings are very diverse and could be used for lots of occasions or themes. The large white snowflake has been die cut using the Beautiful Blizzard Die.

Heart of Christmas - Week 11

Welcome to another week of Christmas inspiration with the Art With Heart Team.

This week I have a super sparkly card to share with you. The bauble image from Beautiful Baubles was first stamped on Window Sheet, coloured with Stampin' Blends Markers, cut out and then mounted on Silver Glimmer paper.

The greeting is also from the Beautiful Bauble stamp set.

Here's another angle on the sparkle on this card.
The Black Glitter Ribbon, from the Holiday Catalogue finishes this card.

See you next week,

Art With Heart Colour Creations - Granny Apple Green

This week's colour theme is Granny Apple Green. A lovely bright, fresh green, it is another new addition to our colour range.
For today's card I used the Rooted in Nature Bundle and the Layered Leaves Dynamic Embossing folder.

To achieve the multi coloured image on the tree stamp I first inked the leaves in Granny Apple Green from the ink pad and removed the excess ink from the trunk with a cotton bud. I then coloured the trunk with the Early Espresso Stampin' Marker and added a few bits of Call Me Clover with the CMC marker. This was then stamped onto Whisper White card stock and cut out with the coordinating die.

There is a small piece of Copper Twine that has been stretched out under the cross section image, which was stamped in Early Espresso. The Granny Apple Green background was embossed with the Layered Leaves Dynamic Embossing folder.

Heart of Christmas - Week 10

The Art With Heart Team are back with another week of Christmas inspiration.

I had a bit of a chuckle as I was making these cards as the temperature outside in Melbourne was a beautiful 28, which is the warmest we've had this season. Definitely not snowflake weather!
I was lucky to be able to borrow this beautiful bundle from one of my downlines and have  little play with it.

To make the card front I started with a piece of Whisper White card stock. I alternated sprinkling Brusho Prussian Blue and spraying with Frost White Shimmer Paint until I got the desired effect. It took a few rounds of sprinkling and spraying as the alcohol in the Shimmer Paint sprayer dried very quickly.
Once this was completely dry I run it through the Bigshot with the Beautiful Blizzard die and the Precision Plate, to ensure all the details were cut through. The card front was mounted on a Thick Whisper White card base with lots of Dimensionals.

The greeting, also from the Beautiful Blizzard Bundle was White embossed on to Vellum cardstock and attached with a Glue Dot under the snowflake cut from Sparkle Glimmer paper. A small piece of White Satin and Silver ribbon finishes the card.
It's very hard to see in the photo, but here's a close up of the shimmer on this card.

Thank you for hopping by to see my projects. For a full list of today's participants head to Claire Daly's blog

Art With Heart Colour Creations - Gorgeous Grape

This week's colour is the beautiful Gorgeous Grape. I love having a real purple back in the colour range.
I have two very different cards for you today.
For this card I used a few drops of Gorgeous Grape reinker with a few drops of Frost White Shimmer Paint. This mix was then applied with a sponge dauber. The other colour used here is Lovely Lipstick. The same process was followed. The Happy Birthday was die cut with a piece of Adhesive Sheet behind it which made it very easy to attach. The final touch was a few Black Rhinestones.
A very simple, but I think, a very stunning card that could be replicated in endless colour combinations.

Here's a close up of the shimmer on the card, quite lovely.

The next card is a completely different style, although again I used Shimmer Paint. The floral image from Very Vintage was stamped in Stazon Jet Black then coloured using a Blender Pen and inks in Gorgeous Grape, Crushed Curry and Mossy Meadow. The Frost White Shimmer Paint was then applied LIGHTLY using scrunched up plastic wrap suing a dabbing motion. When dry, only about a minute, I die cut the oval.
The background Gorgeous Grape was embossed using the Tin Tile Dynamic Embossing Folder.

There is a small mat in Crushed Curry behind the Gorgeous Grape and Linen Thread and Lace to finish the card. On the card base I stamped the doily image from the Very Vintage set in Versamark.

Thank you for hopping by to see my creations. For more Gorgeous Grape inspiration head to Catherine's Blog for a full lost of participants.
