Gold Foil Sunflowers

I have a quick card to share with you tonight. For this card I have used the new Sunflowers 3D Embossing folder and Gold Foil paper. Before embossing I cut the Gold Foil paper with a Deckled Rectangle Die.

The mat behind the Gold Sunflowers is Pretty Peacock, as is the greeting strip. The card base is Lost Lagoon card stock, which completes one of my favourite colour combinations.

Plaid Llamas - Long Time No See

Here's an early peek at a new stamp set called Long Time No See. It features the llama I used for these cards as well as a dachshund (sausage dog), also with stripes. It can additionally be used for Christmas cards as it includes a string of Christmas lights and a Merry Christmas greeting.

I coloured these cards with Blends Markers in colours that co ordinate with the Timeless Plaid DSP. The blue card used Old Olive, Boho Blue and Balmy Blue and the orange card used Calypso Coral, Cajun Craze and Crumb Cake.

The mats for both cards were cut with the Textured Notes Dies. The smaller rectangle  is the reverse side of the larger card base. I cut the mat and then flipped it over to use both sides of the paper.

The Long Time No See stamp set will be available as an Online Exclusive from the 1st of July to customers.

I will be back shortly with a Christmas card.

Stampin’ Up! Two Tone Cardstock

Introducing New Two Tone Cardstock from Stampin’ Up!

Two Toned Cardstock is 12”x12” and is available in all of Stampin’ Up’s gorgeous colours. As the name suggests the cardstock has slightly different shades on each side.

One of my favourite techniques with this product is to dry emboss a piece of it and then sand the surface to reveal the lighter shade in the core. For the Sunrise Sailing card I embossed a piece of Coastal Cabana Two Toned Cardstock.

For the second and third cards I used Strawberry Slush Two Tone Cardstock, first with the Celebratory Sips DSP, and then with the Country Flowers Bundle.

So much fun having new products to play with. Please contact me with any questions.

Balmy Blue Sunflowers and Rainbows

Tonight's cards were made for our team Instagram Hop. Every week we have been featuring one of Stampin' Up!s beautiful colours in alphabetical order. This week we are featuring Balmy Blue, a lovely soft, pale blue.

I have two cards to share with you that feature Balmy Blue. The first one uses the new Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder. I Brayered the inside of the folder with the Brayer and Balmy Blue ink.

Then I used Sponge Daubers and ink in Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie and Granny Apple Green to colour the raised impression.

For the second card I used various DSP in Azure Afternoon, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral and Bubble Bath to cut out the different arches in the Sunshine Vibes Dies.

The DSP around the rainbow in from Beautiful Bokeh and the card front is Country Woods.

Azure Afternoon Sunrise Sailing

Hi stampers, today I'm sharing the card I made for our team Instagram Hop, with the Art With Heart Team.

Our feature colour is Azure Afternoon so I started by applying Azure Afternoon with a Blending Brush to the top section of the card front.

I punched out a mask with a 2" circle punch which I stuck to the centre of the card front. I applied Lemon Lolly ink with another Blending Brush around the edge of the circle. I used a straight mask across the horizon the applied Coastal Cabana and Pretty Peacock ink. I stamped the wave stamp numerous times over the sea area. To highlight the sunrise I stamped the squiggly line stamp in front of the sun in Versamark then embossed in White Embossing Powder.

The birds were stamped in Secret Sea ink and the yacht was cut from Secret Sea card stock.

The flowers from the Impressions Abloom stamp set were stamped in Strawberry Slush on Basic White and Bubble Bath cardstock. They were cut out with the co ordinating dies.

The Painted Stripes stamp was also stamped in Strawberry Slush on Basic White cardstock. The leaves are cut from Mossy Meadow cardstock. The oval background is cut from a piece of Country Woods DSP.

New In Colour Secret Sea Peaceful View

It's time to share the card I  made for this week's team Instagram Hop. We are featuring another of the new In Colours, Secret Sea. Secret Sea is a dark, inky blue that is almost black.

For this card I used the Peaceful View stamp set from the new Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue.

I first stamped the image on Basic White card stock. I used Blending Brushes to add Cloud Cover and Darling Duckling to the background.

The greeting is from the Simply Said Mix and Match stamp set, that was heat embossed on a small piece of Secret Sea card stock.
While I had the stamp out I used it on a piece of DSP from the Beautiful Gallery DSP.

To make it easier to decide which DSP to use with this stamp I stamped the image on window sheet with Stazon Black Ink. Stazon ink dries and sets on the window sheet as it is an alcohol based ink. It gave me a template to lie over different DSP to see what it would look like stamped. I'm going to keep this in my stamp case for future reference.

This card was mounted on Petal Pink and Mossy Meadow card stock.
