Heart of Christmas week 22 - Gift Card Holders

Hello and welcome to the final week of the Heart of Christmas Blog Hops. I have had a wonderful time sharing my projects with you and also receiving inspiration from my fellow team members.

This week I have a gift card holder to share with you. It's come to a time when most of my teenage nieces and nephews prefer to select their own Christmas gifts with a gift card than something I would choose ;). So instead of just handing over a plastic card I like to make it a bit more special with a hand made gift card holder.

I started with a standard card base of half an A4 sheet folded in half. I scored the front of the card 3.5cm in from the right hand side. Before folding and adhering this to the inside of the card I punched a semi circle from the centre to make the gift card more accessible.

I decorated the front of the card using the Leaves of Holly bundle from the July to Dec mini catalogue.

Now it's time to see what the very talented Cathy Proctor has to share with us.

If you have any problems with the links in our hop please head over to Sharon Davern's blog as she is the wonderful host of our Heart of Christmas blog hops and will have a complete list of tonight's participants.

Colour Creations Blog Hop week 30 - Happiness Abounds Watercolour Mint Macaron

It's Wednesday evening and the Art With Heart Team are back with another Colour Creations Blog Hop, this week featuring Mint Macaron. Mint Macaron it a lovely soft gray/green from our Subtles colour family.

This week's card was inspired by a couple of cards done by a team member Andrea Sargent earlier this year. I've used similar techniques but a different colour scheme.

The colours used to make this card were of course Mint Macaron for the card base, leaves and the masked background, and Petal Pink, Calypso Coral and very pale Polished Pink for the flowers.

I heat embossed all of the flowers, leaves and the greeting in Gold Embossing Powder and then coloured the flowers and leaves with Water Painters. The greeting is from the Go To Greetings set and has been cut out with one of the Tailor Made Tag dies. I coloured a small piece of White Crinkled Seam binding with the Pale Polished Pink Blends Marker to go through the tag hole.

I used one of the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks and a blending brush to add some Mint Macaron ink to the Very Vanilla card front. The mat behind the Very Vanilla is Evening Evergreen card stock.
Once again I had to add a couple of my favourite embellishments, the Brushed Brass Butterflies.

Now it's time to see what the other Art With Heart Team members have to share with you. The next hop is Rachel Palmieiri, I'm looking forward to seeing what she has to share with us.

If you encounter any issues with the links on our hop please head to Cathy Proctor's blog as she is the amazing host of our Colour Creations Blog Hops and has a complete list of tonight's participants.

Thanks for visiting, make sure to join us next week when we are featuring Mossy Meadow.

Happy stamping,
Rachel

Heart of Christmas week 21 - Lights Aglow Bundle

It's week 21 of the Heart of Christmas blog hop with the Art With Heart Team. It's mid November already so if you haven't started your Christmas cards yet then you'd better get going. We are here to help you with more amazing Christmas inspiration from the Art With Heart Team.

Today I'm sharing a card with you that I used the Lights Aglow Suite, which includes the Christmas Lights Bundle, Brightest Glow Bundle, Glimmer 12" x 12" Speciality Paper, Specialty Foil Paper and Lights Aglow DSP. I love the traditional colour combination of Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen.

The tree and the lower panel are cut from the Lights Aglow DSP and the top panel is embossed with the snowflake embossing folder from the Wintry 3D folder pack. I added some gold highlights with the Gold Glimmer paper from the Glimmer Specialty Paper pack.

The greeting from the Brightest Glow bundle was heat embossed in gold embossing powder and cut out using one of the dies from the co ordinating die pack.

Now it's time to hop to the next stop in our blog hop, which belongs to Tina Gillespie. You will love her beautiful project.

If you encounter any issues with the links in our blog hop, please head to Sharon Davern's blog as she is the host of Heart of Christmas Blog Hop and has a complete list of tonight's participants.
