Hello and welcome to the final week of the Heart of Christmas Blog Hops. I have had a wonderful time sharing my projects with you and also receiving inspiration from my fellow team members.
This week I have a gift card holder to share with you. It's come to a time when most of my teenage nieces and nephews prefer to select their own Christmas gifts with a gift card than something I would choose ;). So instead of just handing over a plastic card I like to make it a bit more special with a hand made gift card holder.
I started with a standard card base of half an A4 sheet folded in half. I scored the front of the card 3.5cm in from the right hand side. Before folding and adhering this to the inside of the card I punched a semi circle from the centre to make the gift card more accessible.
I decorated the front of the card using the Leaves of Holly bundle from the July to Dec mini catalogue.
Now it's time to see what the very talented Cathy Proctor has to share with us.
Thank you for visiting,
Happy stamping,
What a wonderful idea to make a gift card more personal, Rachel. This is such a great design -I might have to CASe this for my teenage nephews and nieces too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely way to make a gift card more special. I love the way that incorporating the holder into the card base has made a feature of the inside of the card. It's gorgeous!
