More Heirloom Frames

I decided whilst I had the Heirloom Frames out on my desk I would have a go at a non Christmas card. The set I chose was called Beauty and Joy.
I love the Beauty and Joy set in the Holiday catalogue as it can be used for more than just Christmas cards. Being in Australia I'm not big on Thanksgiving cards either but I though this set could be used for many occasions.

For this card I stamped the pot first and then the stem followed by the leaves so that I could correctly position all the elements. I then stamped five of the flowers in Rococo Rose on scrap paper and hand cut them. I intend to teach this card in one of my upcoming classes and I will be giving the attendees the option of stamping the flowers directly onto the tree if they prefer not to do the fiddly hand cutting.

The Rococo Rose background has been embossed with the Corrugated Embossing Folder.

For the frame, I first cut the rectangle frame using the die from Early Espresso card stock. I carefully positioned the card stock in the coordinating embossing folder, holding it in place with a small piece for washi tape. I then ran this through my machine.

I get the gold effect on the frame I selectively applied Versamark with a sponge dauber and then applied the Gold Emboss Powder.
The greeting is stamped in Rococo Rose and punched out with the Classic Label Punch. A rhinestone from the Noble Peacock pack is the finishing touch.

Thank you for visiting, I hope you enjoyed my card,
Happy stamping,
Rachel.

Art With Heart Christmas Blog Hop

Tonight the Art with Heart team are sharing creative Christmas projects, many featuring products from the upcoming Holiday Catalogue which starts on the 4th of September.
If you would like a copy of the 2019 - 2020 Annual catalogue or the new Holiday catalogue, contact any of the girls on the blog hop and we will get in touch with you. For today's card  I have used the Christmas Gleaming stamp set. No baubles today, instead I used the holly sprig, one of the greetings and the filigree stamp.

The Gold Foil frame has been cut and embossed using the Heirloom  Frames Dies. These dies include the dies to cut the oval and rectangle frames and also the Embossing Folders which create the beautiful details on the frames.

The filigree stamp was used to add some detail to the background Cherry Cobbler card stock in matching ink.
Three holly sprigs were embossed in Gold Embossing Powder. They were then coloured with an Aquapainter and Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce ink and then fussy cut by hand. The card base in Shaded Spruce card stock.

The greeting was also gold embossed and was cut out using one of the Stitched Shapes dies.

The final touch was a gold embossed holly sprig on the inside of the card. Now it's time to visit the very talented Catherine and see her beautiful Christmas project.

Heart of Christmas - Week 2

For week 2 of  the Heart of Christmas Countdown I have used the Christmas Gleaming bundle along with the Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP.

The baubles were cut from the Brightly Gleaming DSP. I added a topper to each bauble by punching just the top of each bauble from Copper Foil paper. The strings for the baubles are actually very fine strips of Copper Foil paper that I cut using my paper cutter.

The Merry Christmas greeting was embossed with Copper Emboss powder.
The Old Olive sprig above the bauble is from the Itty Bitty Christmas Bundle. The dies included are this sprig, snowflakes and stars. I love the abundance of Christmas greetings in the stamp set. There is a greeting that suits any Christmas card.

The card base is Thick Very Vanilla card stock, which is more suitable as a card base than the standard Very Vanilla card stock.

Heart of Christmas Blog Hop - Week 1

The card I have to show you tonight were both made using the Perfectly Plaid stamp set and punch bundle. I love having a Christmas Tree punch, they are a very convenient way of cutting out shapes quickly. Great for my classes too.

The first card has 5 of the Distinktive trees that have been  cut with the punch and mounted on a piece of DSP from the Wrapped in Plaid pack. The trees are stamped in Shaded Spruce with Soft Suede trunks. For the greeting I inked only the Christmas Cheer in Versamark and embossed this in Gold emboss powder.

One side of this paper features various small Christmas images while the reverse side features different plaids that all have a gold foil strip through them. It gives the paper a very elegant feel. Perfect for other themes too, like masculine cards.

The second card features the same image, but this time stamped directly on to Whisper White card stock. I have stamped off some of the images to vary the depth of the trees. The trees are stamped in Garden Green with Soft Suede trunks. The full greeting was stamped over the trees in Cherry Cobbler.

I stamped the same image in Garden Green on the card stock base. I have used two small pieces of the Cherry Cobbler Striped Ribbon on the right side of the image.

If you would like a copy of the 2019 - 2020 Annual catalogue or the new Holiday catalogue drop me a line and I will send one out.
