Best of Cluck Chick!

Here's another card using the Hey Birthday Chick stamp set.

For this card I first stamped the chick on Basic White card stock and then on a piece of patterned paper from the In Good Taste DSP. I fussy cut the image on the DSP and adhered it over the image on the Basic White card stock.

The greeting was stamped on Basic White card stock and it and the chick image were cut out with circles from the Stitched Shape dies. I coloured the comb and the beak on the chick with Blends Markers.
The background paper is a piece of Flower and Field DSP which is one of the Sale-a-bration rewards. Until the end of February for every $90 spent you can earn free Sale-a-bration rewards.

The card base is Just Jade card stock.

The ribbons I added to this card are the White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and the Sheer Pool Party Ribbon. I tied a bow in both and layered them on top of each other.

Thanks for visiting, I'll be back tomorrow with some more chicks.

Happy stamping,

Art With Heart Team Colour Creations Showcase - week 33 Pear Pizzazz

I'm back with another Hey Birthday Chick card for you. Today this card is my project for the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase, featuring Pear Pizzazz. We are up to week 33 as we featuring a different Stampin' Up! colour every week. This stamp set is available in the Jan to June Mini Catalogue. From the 2nd of Feb The Hey Birthday Chick  is part of a promotion that offers the coordinating dies to this set. Also returning on this date is the Hey Chick stamp set that was previously released as a Sale-a-bration reward. There will also be coordinating dies with this set.

The first thing I did to make this card was trim a piece of white card stock to 9.5cm x 20cm to make a slim line card.

I stamped the two chicks in Memento Black Ink. I made a mask for each of them by stamping the images onto a sticky Post-It note and cut them out. Once the masks were over the chick images I used the Blending Brushes and Balmy Blue Ink to make the cloud back ground. Pear Pizzazz ink and another Blending Brush was used with a hill mask to create the hill they are standing on.

I removed the masks and coloured the chicks with Blends Markers. The colours I used are listed below. The three chicks in eggs were stamped on white card stock and coloured with Blends. They were cut out with the coordinating dies. The fence was cut from a piece In Good Taste DSP and is also a die in the set.

The balloon was cut using the Happy Dies from a piece of Rainbow Glimmer Paper. I attached this with a couple of Dimensionals. The chicks were also attached with Dimensionals.

Finally the greeting was stamped in Memento ink directly onto the card front.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my card, I have more to show you in the coming days.
Don't forget to head to Cathy's blog to check out what the other Art With Heart Team members have to share with you featuring Pear Pizzazz.

Thanks for visiting,
Happy stamping,
Rachel.

Happy Australia Day! and a flock of Chicks.

Hello stampers. On a very wet and chilly Australia Day in Melbourne I have the first of a whole flock of chick cards to share with you.

These cards all use the Hey Birthday Chick and Hey Chick bundles. Yes that's correct, the Hey Chick stamp set from Sale-a-bration in 2017 is back! And this time there are coordinating dies to go with the stamp set.

The Hey Birthday Chick is available now in the Jan to June Mini Catalogue and the Hey Chick Bundle is available from the 2nd of February. The stamp sets and dies are also available separately.

These cards both use the Hey Birthday Chick Bundle.
I stamped both chick images in Memento Black ink and then coloured with Blends Markers. The colours I used are listed below.

I cut out the images with the coordinating dies. The white background piece was cut using one of the Ornate Layered Dies.

Behind the chicks I used a Blender Brush to apply a small amount of Balmy Blue ink.

The greeting for this card and the second one were both cut using one of the dies that comes in the Hey Birthday Chick dies. It was cut from Magenta Madness card stock. The background paper is a piece from the In Good Taste DSP pack. The card base is Magenta Madness.

For the second card I used the same layout with the die cut from Ornate Layers Dies and used the Blends Brush again to add a little Balmy Blue behind the chick.

Again the background paper is from the In Good Taste DSP, The Happy Birthday as cut from Rainbow Glimmer paper and the card base is thick white card stock.

I hope you like my chicks, I'll be back tomorrow with a few more.

Happy stamping,
Rachel
