Art With Heart Team Monthly Creative Showcase for January - Jan to June Mini and Sale-a-bration Catalogues

This is the Art With Heart Team Monthly Creative Showcase. Each month the Art With Heart Team present a showcase of their beautiful creations based on a specified theme. This month our creations feature products from the Stampin' Up! Jan to June Mini catalogue and the Sale-a-bration brochure. All of this months participants are listed at the end of this post.

For my cards today I have chosen the Hey Girlfriend stamp set. This is a wonderful set for colouring with our Blends markers. The colours I used for the first card are mainly Rococo Rose and So Saffron, with small amounts of Ivory, Pool Party and Terracotta Tile.

The background DSP is from the Hydrangea Hill paper pack and the second rectangle is a piece of So Saffron card stock that has been embossed with the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder.

I have stamped the card base with one of the floral images in the Hydrangea Haven stamp set, using Rococo Rose ink.

The greeting I have used is from the Hey Girlfriend stamp set. I stamped the greeting in Versamark and embossing in White Embossing Powder. The greeting panel was cut using the smallest Stitched So Sweetly dies.

For the second card I stamped one of the girls on Whisper White card stock and coloured her arms, face and legs with the Blends Markers.

stamped her again on a piece of the Hydrangea Hill DSP and fussy cut only her dress. I glued this dress on to her with Multi Purpose Glue.

The strips of DSP in the background are also from the Hydrangea Hill DSP and have been attached to a Stitched Rectangle of Misty Moonlight card stock. Misty Moonlight is my current favourite colour and I will be very sad when it leaves our range in just over 12 months time.

The card base is Seaside Spray, which coordinates perfectly with Misty Moonlight.
The greeting on this card is from the Timeless Tulips stamp set and has been stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink. The greeting panel was cut using a die from the All Dressed Up Dies.
A piece of Crinkled Seam Binding was wrapped around the background piece before it was attached to the card base.

All of the products used to make these cards are available in my online store.

  4. Stunning cards Rachel. You certainly are a whiz with the Stampin' Blends. Both 'girlfriends' are so expertly coloured. I love the way you used the piece of DSP for the second girlfriend's dress.
