Heart of Christmas Blog Hop - week 3

I'm back with some more Christmas inspiration from the Art With Heart Team.
For tonight's card I have used the Beautiful Baubles stamp set from the Holiday Catalogue.

I stamped the multiple bauble image on Shimmery White card stock with Versamark and embossed with Silver Embossing powder.

The image was coloured with an Aquapainter and inks.

The beautiful embellishments are punched with the new Sprig punch from Silver foil and Tranquil Tide Glimmer paper from the new Joyous Noel Glimmer pack. I also used half an Iridescent Boxwood Wreath under the greeting.

Art With Heart Colour Creations - Crumb Cake

This week the Art With Heart Team are featuring Crumb Cake, on of my favourite neutrals.

I have two cards featuring Crumb Cake today. They both use the Detailed Deer thinlits. To make these cards I cut one reindeer from a Crumb Cake square then used it and the negative piece to make 2 cards.

The negative used in the first card has a pice of Joyous Noel Specialty DSP behind it and is mounted on a Merry Merlot card base. The Copper Foil strips on the top and bottom of the reindeer piece have been stamped with the garland from the Dashing Deer stamp set in Veramark them embossed with Copper Embossing Powder.
Do you like my copper coloured pearl? It's a pearl that has been coloured with my Dark Cajun Craze Blends Marker. The snowflake is cut from the Beautiful Blizzard Die. The stars on the Crumb Cake piece are from the Night in Bethlahem stamp set and are stamped in Crumb Cake ink.

The second card uses the reindeer cut from the first card. I embossed the body of the deer with the Subtle embossing folder and the Very Vanilla background with the new Curls and Swirls embossing folder. Strips of Gold Glimmer paper, Very Vanilla/ Gold Edged ribbon and a few Metallic Gold Pearls finish the card.

I didn't realised until I was writing this post, but all of the colours I have used in these cards are from our Neutrals Colour family.
I love doing cards like this where both pieces can be used, it great for classes too. These two cards will be projects at my Mega Christmas Card Class.

Art With Heart Blog Hop August - Coloured In Images

Tonight the Art with Heart team are sharing creative projects featuring stamp sets that you can colour in. We hope our blog hop inspires you to pick up some stampin’ write markers, watercolour pencils, stampin blends or another form of colouring medium and colour in with your stamps.
Don’t forget to contact any of the ladies on the blog hop to order any products, especially thee limited edition colour your season products, as these are only available until the end of August.

Today's card features a stamp set called Timeless Tidings which is available from the 5th of September in the Holiday Catalogue. I love this set as is has three Christmas images, a tree, a poinsettia and the holly used here.

I embossed the holly image in Copper embossing powder onto a Sahara Sand card stock front numerous times, then once more for the cutout image. I coloured the images using an Aquapainter and ink pads in Merry Merlot and Tranquil Tide.
The greeting, also from Timeless Tidings, was Copper embossed onto Tranquil Tide card stock and sponged with Copper Shimmer Paint around the edge.
The shape for the greeting was cut using the Stitched Seasons Thinlits which is part of the Blended Seasons bundle which is only available until the end of August.
The finishing touch is a beautiful bow from the Double Sided Copper and Merry Merlot Ribbon.

Now it’s time to hop on over to our next participant, the very talented,  Aime McIlroy

Heart of Christmas Blog Hop - Week 2

This week's card is cased from the up coming Holiday Catalogue. I used the large bauble from the Beautiful Baubles set and heat embossed it in Silver on Shimmery White card stock. I coloured the image with an Aquapainter in Balmy Blue and a small amount of Night of Navy.

The details on the Balmy Blue card stock, around the bauble, are from one of the dies in the Detailed Baubles Thinlits which coordinate with the Beautiful Baubles stamp set.

This photo shows the colouring and the embossed image in more detail.

The corners of the card have been punched using the Corner Punch from the Annual catalogue.
A twine ribbon in Night of Navy and Silver and White was attached to the top of the bauble.

The greeting, also from the Beautiful Baubles set, was heat embossing in Silver. The final embellishments are a few Rhinestones to add a bit more sparkle.

For more information on my project or any of the supplies used please contact me.

Holiday Catalogue Sneak Peeks and Blended Promotion

Hello stampers, I have some peeks from the up coming Holiday Catalogue to share with you.
There are some many beautiful stamp sets and new tools in this catalogue it's hard to know where to begin.

I was very excited to see the return of Shimmer Paint in this catalogue, in four beautiful colours, Bright Copper, Champagne Mist, Frost White and Vegas Gold.
for this card I used a sponge dauber to apply Vegas Gold Shimmer paint directly to one of the deer from the Dashing Deer stamp set. I stamped this on Early Espresso card stock and cut it out using the coordinating Detailed Deer thinlits.

I add a bit of pizzazz to the background a added a couple of drops of Vegas Gold Shimmer paint to a Stampin Spritzer and topped it  up with rubbing alcohol. I lightly sprayed the Cherry Cobbler card stock with this mixture to give it a sparkly shimmer.

The next two cards feature images from the Beautiful Baubles set, which have been coloured with the NEW colours of Blends Markers that are in the Holiday Catalogue. Just in time for Christmas we now have Blends in Real Red, Shaded Spruce, Mango Melody, Basic Black, Blackberry Bliss and Cajun Craze.
Love these new colours! The embossing folder used on the single bauble card is also new, called Swirls and Curls.
The small baubles on this card were embossed in Gold embossing powder and then cut out with the Detailed Baubles thinlits, which cut out 6 of the baubles at once. Much more convenient than cutting them out singly.
These cards will be projects in my up coming Christmas Card Classes, as will the following 3D items.
I thought for something a bit different I would offer a Christmas Gifts Class where we will make this Chocolate Block Holder, a set of Gift Tags and a couple of other Christmas gifts that would be perfect to make for teachers, coaches or work mates.
The Chocolate Block Holder contains a Lindt block but could be adjusted to fit other sizes. The chocolate is revealed by pulling on the ribbon.

The box of Gift Tags contains 6 tags which use the Detailed Deer and Detailed Bauble thinlits and the beautiful Joyous Noel Speciality DSP.
These's plenty of room on the back to write your Christmas message.

The final project I have to show you features my beautiful daughter, who is growing up way too fast, and the also beautiful Blended Seasons Stamp set and Thinlits Bundle.

I stamped the floral image twice on Shimmery White card stock and coloured them with the watercolour pencils.
The leaf image from Petal Garden has been stamped in Frost White Shimmer Paint. The small leaves are cut using the Petals and More thinlits from Granny Apple Green card stock and the larger leaves are from the Eclectic Layers thinlits and Garden Green card stock.

*******Blended Seasons Bundle and Watercolour Pencils Assortment 2 only available until the end of August********
