Art With Heart Colour Creations - Crumb Cake

This week the Art With Heart Team are featuring Crumb Cake, on of my favourite neutrals.

I have two cards featuring Crumb Cake today. They both use the Detailed Deer thinlits. To make these cards I cut one reindeer from a Crumb Cake square then used it and the negative piece to make 2 cards.

The negative used in the first card has a pice of Joyous Noel Specialty DSP behind it and is mounted on a Merry Merlot card base. The Copper Foil strips on the top and bottom of the reindeer piece have been stamped with the garland from the Dashing Deer stamp set in Veramark them embossed with Copper Embossing Powder.
Do you like my copper coloured pearl? It's a pearl that has been coloured with my Dark Cajun Craze Blends Marker. The snowflake is cut from the Beautiful Blizzard Die. The stars on the Crumb Cake piece are from the Night in Bethlahem stamp set and are stamped in Crumb Cake ink.

The second card uses the reindeer cut from the first card. I embossed the body of the deer with the Subtle embossing folder and the Very Vanilla background with the new Curls and Swirls embossing folder. Strips of Gold Glimmer paper, Very Vanilla/ Gold Edged ribbon and a few Metallic Gold Pearls finish the card.

I didn't realised until I was writing this post, but all of the colours I have used in these cards are from our Neutrals Colour family.
I love doing cards like this where both pieces can be used, it great for classes too. These two cards will be projects at my Mega Christmas Card Class.
