Heart of Christmas 2025 - week 1

It’s time for the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team. Every Monday evening until the start of Christmas we will be featuring Christmas projects using products from the Sept to Dec Mini Catalogue and the Online Exclusives.

The Sept to Dec Catalogue starts on the 3rd of September.

For today's card I am using the When A Child Is Born stamp set. I stamped the main image on Basic White in Early Espresso ink. I cut this out with one of the Everyday Arches Dies. I stamped the manger and the lamb on a separate piece of Basic White card stock.

I coloured all of the images with Blends Markers. I wanted to keep the colours soft and subtle so the colours I used were Petal Pink, Pool Party, Crumb Cake and Lemon Lolly. Once coloured I fussy cut the manger and lamb and attached them to the main image with Dimensionals.

The background DSP is from the Woven Textures DSP Pack. The card base is Early Espresso card stock.

Please continue along the blog hop to see the beautiful projects the other participants have to share with you. Next in line is Rosa Leyden.

For a complete list of tonight's participants please head to Sharon's Blog, as she is the amazing host of our Heart of Christmas Blog Hops.

Be sure to visit next Monday for week 2 of our Heart of Christmas Blog Hop.

Cajun Craze Rustic Centerpiece

Hi Stampers, the card I have to share tonight was made for the Art With Heart InstaHop featuring Cajun Craze.

I stamped the Sunflower image in Memento Black ink on Very Vanilla card stock and coloured with Blends Markers. The colours I used are listed below. The greeting is from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set. I wanted the two rows of text to be on separate strips so I stamped them separately.

The image was cut out with Everyday Arches Dies, and mounted on a larger arch from Cajun Craze card stock. The background DSP is from the Boho Vibes pack. There' a piece of Linen Thread wrapped around the bottom of the image.

Plaid Llamas - Long Time No See

Here's an early peek at a new stamp set called Long Time No See. It features the llama I used for these cards as well as a dachshund (sausage dog), also with stripes. It can additionally be used for Christmas cards as it includes a string of Christmas lights and a Merry Christmas greeting.

I coloured these cards with Blends Markers in colours that co ordinate with the Timeless Plaid DSP. The blue card used Old Olive, Boho Blue and Balmy Blue and the orange card used Calypso Coral, Cajun Craze and Crumb Cake.

The mats for both cards were cut with the Textured Notes Dies. The smaller rectangle  is the reverse side of the larger card base. I cut the mat and then flipped it over to use both sides of the paper.

The Long Time No See stamp set will be available as an Online Exclusive from the 1st of July to customers.

I will be back shortly with a Christmas card.

Thanks for visiting,

Rachel

Even More Darling Dinos

Hi stamping friends, I have more projects to share with you using the Darling Dinos stamp set.

The first card is a baby card, dino was coloured in Balmy Blue and Fresh Freesia. The greeting is from the Storybook Friends stamp set. I used a piece of Beautiful Bokeh DSP and a strip of retired Balmy Blue Gingham DSP.

The next card uses the same cute dino, this time coloured with Shy Shamrock Blends. I used a strip of Full of Life DSP on top of an embossed piece of Shy Shamrock card stock. The tiny top hat was coloured in Black and Shy Shamrock Blends Markers. The Shaded Spruce circle was cut with an Everyday Details Die.

The last card has a Highland Heather coloured Dino, holding balloons from the Spring Corners stamp set. The greeting is also from this stamp set. I used a piece of retired DSP (I have sooooo much that I have been holding, it’s time to start using some) for the card front.

I hope you are inspired by my projects, if so theses cute Darling Dinos are only available in the catalogue until the 3rd of May!

Thanks for visiting,
Rachel

Pumpkin Pie Darling Dinos

Hello stampers. I made this card for my team Instagram Hop featuring Pumpkin Pie. I stamped the dinos in Memento Black Ink and coloured with my Blends Markers. The colours I used are listed below.

I have used the Fancy Borders Dies to cut the edge of the card. As I was making this card I was getting very frustrated that the dies are wider than the Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine. I wanted to cut the full width to the card base and could not do this with the dies that are too wide.

I finally came up with a solution. I adhered the die to the edge of the cardstock with some Washi Tape.

I placed one of the clear plates from the MINI Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine inside the card.

And then the second plate on top of the front of the card and the die.

I sent this sandwich through the standard Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine.
Voila! The edge of the card base is cut just as I wanted.

I used this technique to cut the edge for my dinosaur card.

The dinos were all cut out with circles from the Stylish Shapes Dies.

Old Olive Sweet Peas

Hello stampers. I made today's card for our weekly team colour challenge for Old Olive.

I used a really cute set from the Annual Catalogue called Sweet Peas. I stamped the image in Mossy Meadow and coloured with Blends Marker in Old Olive, Granny Apple Green and a tiny bit of Boho Blue.

The Storybook Dies have three ornate frames, one of which I used for this card. I cut the frame from Old Olive card stock.

The background papers are from the Timeless Plaid and Storybook Moments DSP packs.
