Plaid Llamas - Long Time No See

Here's an early peek at a new stamp set called Long Time No See. It features the llama I used for these cards as well as a dachshund (sausage dog), also with stripes. It can additionally be used for Christmas cards as it includes a string of Christmas lights and a Merry Christmas greeting.

I coloured these cards with Blends Markers in colours that co ordinate with the Timeless Plaid DSP. The blue card used Old Olive, Boho Blue and Balmy Blue and the orange card used Calypso Coral, Cajun Craze and Crumb Cake.

The mats for both cards were cut with the Textured Notes Dies. The smaller rectangle  is the reverse side of the larger card base. I cut the mat and then flipped it over to use both sides of the paper.

The Long Time No See stamp set will be available as an Online Exclusive from the 1st of July to customers.

I will be back shortly with a Christmas card.

Colour Creations Blog Hop week 33 - Lost Lagoon Darling Dinos

Welcome to week 33 of the Colour Creations Blog Hop. Lost Lagoon is our feature colour tonight. Lost Lagoon is a dusty, blue/green colour that is in our Subtles colour family.

Darling Dinos are back again! I love these cute little guys! This time I coloured the Dinos with Blends Markers in Lost Lagoon, Crumb Cake, Pool Party, Fresh Freesia, Basic Black and Balmy Blue.

The background paper is a piece from another new product called Timeless Plaid DSP. Timeless Plaid is available in Jan next year in the Jan to April Mini Catalogue. To add a bit of texture to the DSP I ran it through my Stampin Cut and Emboss Machine with one of the Basics 3 pack Embossing folders, which is an Online Exclusive product.

A piece of Linen Thread was wrapped around both layers and knotted. I then added another piece of thread to the knot and frayed the ends.

I matted the DSP on Lost Lagoon card stock and then mounted it on a Crumb Cake card base.

Hmm, next week I might try and use a different stamp set....or maybe not. Check back next Wednesday night to find out.

Now it's time to head to the next blog in our blog hop which belongs my talented stamping friend Andrea Sargent.

If you encounter any issues with the links in our hop please head to Cathy Proctor's blog as she is the wonderful host of our hops and has a complete list of tonight's participants.

Thanks for visiting,
Rachel
