This week's colour is the beautiful Gorgeous Grape. I love having a real purple back in the colour range.
I have two very different cards for you today.
For this card I used a few drops of Gorgeous Grape reinker with a few drops of Frost White Shimmer Paint. This mix was then applied with a sponge dauber. The other colour used here is Lovely Lipstick. The same process was followed. The Happy Birthday was die cut with a piece of Adhesive Sheet behind it which made it very easy to attach. The final touch was a few Black Rhinestones.
A very simple, but I think, a very stunning card that could be replicated in endless colour combinations.
Here's a close up of the shimmer on the card, quite lovely.
The background Gorgeous Grape was embossed using the Tin Tile Dynamic Embossing Folder.
There is a small mat in Crushed Curry behind the Gorgeous Grape and Linen Thread and Lace to finish the card. On the card base I stamped the doily image from the Very Vintage set in Versamark.
Thank you for hopping by to see my creations. For more Gorgeous Grape inspiration head to Catherine's Blog for a full lost of participants.
Happy stampin,
Rachel

They are both beautiful cards Rachel but I really love the dramatic simplicity and versatility of your first card. I can see this being made up in so many different colour combinations. Thanks for hopping along tonight.
ReplyDeleteI love the "watercolour washed" look of the first card and how versatile it would be in so many colours. It also has an amazing shine with the shimmer paint.
ReplyDeleteI love both of your card Rachel, but I think the splash of colour with the shimmer paint is my favourite. so stunning.
ReplyDeleteThe shimmer paint background is so striking but I really like your vintage card with the shimmer paint dabbed on with plastic wrap, very creative.
ReplyDeleteI love the simplicity of design and colour combination of your first card Rachel and a lovely vintage look to your second card. The addition of the lace softens the whole look - very pretty.
