Colour Inkspiration

I found time this week to participate in the colour challenge at Colour Inkspiration #109.

This week's colours are Dapper Denim, Pool Party and Cherry Cobbler.

I inked up one of the new hostess sets in the 2017-2018 catalogue called Feathery Friends.

I stamped the images in Stazon Black on Shimmery White cardstock and coloured with Blender pens and inks. I cut out the images and mounted them on Dimensionals on Whisper White cardstock embossed with the Petal Burst textured Embossing folder.
This stamp set can be yours for free when you host a qualifying party from the 1st of June.

Art With Heart Team Blog Hop - New Catalogue

Tonight I am participating in a blog hop along with the super talented ladies in the Art With Heart Team. We thought it would be fun to share some fabulous ideas to inspire you from our brand new 2017-2018 annual catalogue, which is available 1st June. Be sure to request your copy of the catalogue today! The first project I have for you uses the new Crate Die and the new Wood Textures DSP, which comes in a 6"x6" stack. The foliage is from the Jar of Love set. The other new products I have used on the front of the card are one of the In Colour Bitty Bows in Berry Burst and the Powder Pink edges done with the Ticket Tear Border Punch.

These self adhesive bows are extremely easy to use.
On the inside of the card I have used one cut out from the crate die. Usually, to make a complete crate, you will need two pieces. I adhered the crate to the inside of the card and used an addition piece as a brace, and to attach some of the foliage to. I will be creating a tutorial as to how this was done shortly.
Contact me if you would like one when available.
The colours I used for the flowers are Berry Burst, Powder Pink, and Fresh Fig, and for the foliage, Tranquil Tide and Sahara Sand.
The second card I have to show you features a set that caught my attention as soon as I saw the Catalogue. It's called Bright Wishes and this image of a wishing well is perect for colouring. I used Blender Pens on Shimmery White paper this time, but you could also use the Watercolour Pencils or an Aquapainter with the inks on watercolour paper..
Once again I have use a piece of Wood Textures DSP, Love this paper!
On the inside I stamped the image in Crumb Cake ink, and softly coloured the flowers in Powder Pink and a few leaves in Pear Pizzazz.
I hope you enjoyed my little preview from the upcoming catalogue, there's plenty more to come. Next stop on the hop is Caroline.

Art With Heart Retiring Product Blog Hop

                                                        art-with-heart-team-blog-hop-logo-current

Today I am participating in a blog hop along with the super talented ladies in the Art With Heart Team. We thought it would be fun to share some projects using our favourite retiring products from both the 2016-2017 annual and 2017 occasions catalogues!
Select retiring products have discounts of up to 50% off but are only available until sold out. Be sure to place orders before the sun sets on these items on 31 May. You don’t want to miss out – ask me how!   This first card uses the Timeless Love stamp set. I've used Watermelon Wonder, which is one of the discontinued In-colours to colour the large flowers, along with Peekaboo Peach and a little Smoky Slate on the white flowers.

Although it was a little time consuming, I'm very happy that I fussy cut around the outside and the inside of the wreath. The Congratulations comes from the same set and has been stamped on Vellum.

The next card features the In the Meadow stamp set, which is another set that has been a favourite of mine and my class attendees this year. The deer and the trees were stamped on Shimmery White card stock, which I find much easier to colour on than Whisper White, but also shows much more detail in stamped images than using Watercolour Paper.

It's very hard to photograph, but this picture shows the beautiful shimmer on the Shimmery White cardstock.

Both these sets and all supplies used in these cards are available until stocks sell out or until the 31st of May.                                                                                               art-with-heart-team-next-blog-hop-current

Sneak Peek from 2017-2018 Catalogue

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of attending the Stampin' Up! Onstage event, one of the many perks of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. We had the opportunity to see the upcoming catalogue and have a play with some of the new products. A set that I was lucky enough to win is called This Little Piggy, and here are some samples from my first play with it.

This is just one of the amazing new sets in the upcoming catalogue, but first I need to make the most of the retiring products. Back soon with discontinued samples. To see the full discontinued list click HERE

Don't wait too long, as soon as they sell out they are gone for good.

Rachel

Pop Up Hexagonal Window Box Card

I have a video to show you how I made these Pop Up Hexagonal Window Box Cards. I made 16 of these for my swaps at Stampin' Up! Onstage Sydney, which is where I am now. I was unable to load the video on my blog, but I have it on my Facebook page HERE
The base of the cards was the same for all cards, I finished them differently.
Stylish Birthday and the die from the Hexagonal Window Box set.
Balloon PopUpDies and Stylish Birthday.
Detailed Dragonflies dies.
Feel free to contact me if you require further details.
The Hexagonal Window Box dies are available on their own or bundled with a stamp set from my online store HERE or through the link to the right of the screen.
