Heart of Christmas - Week 16

Welcome to another Wednesday of Christmas Inspiration from the Art with Heart Team.

I made today's projects with the Hostess set Seasons of Whimsy, from the Holiday Catalogue.

This set is only available with Stampin Rewards, which are your free rewards to spend when your party or order is over $250.
I thought the whimsicalness of this set spoke to me of non traditional Christmas colour schemes.
This ornaments in the first card have been embossed in Copper Embossing Powder and coloured with an Aquapainter in Rich Razzleberry.

The greeting was also embossed with Copper Embossing Powder, but on Rich Razzleberry cardstock.

This photo shows the beautiful shine from the Copper Embossing. I have used a small piece of Copper Trim that has been teased apart, under the greeting.

More non traditional Christmas colours on my next project. The single bauble is stamped on Shimmery White cardstock. I'm loving this paper for detailed colouring, it's quite a bit thicker than Whisper White cardstock and therefore much more stable for watercolouring on. It also has a wonderful shimmer to it. The bauble is coloured using Lemon Lime Twist, Tempting Turquise, Berry Bliss and Flirty Flamingo. The DSP is from the InColour 12 x 12 stack and is Lemon Lime Twist. The scalloped circle under the bauble is Tempting Turquise. The ribbon is Berry Burst Crinkled Seam Binding, and the star is an In Colour Acrylic Glitter shape. The small heart is from the Hearts and Stars Wooden Embelishments.

It's very hard to see, but this shows the shimmer on the Shimmery White cardstock.

This is my favourite card for this post. The beautiful soft colours of Sweet Sugarplum, Whisteria Wonder and Soft Sky make this a soft, sweet card. The images are stamped in Stazon and coloured by Aquapainter. Once dry, I coloured over some of the patterns on the baubles for extra details.

These areas were then coloured with the Wink of Stella Pen, to add sparkle. The leaves across the top of the card are punched from Dazzling Diamond Glimmer paper with the new leaf punch.

Inside of the card.

For the final card today I reverted to traditional Christmas colours of Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Lemon Lime Twist. Ornaments again stamped in Stazon and coloured with an Aquapainter. Leaves in Old Olive from the leaf Punch, and the greeting in White Emboss Powder on Old Olive cardstock.

This card is one of the cards we will be completing at my Kids Christmas Class, in the school holidays.

In addition to being able to earn this beautiful set if you host a party or place a large order, Stampin' Up! also have and other FREE stampset for qualifying Hosts during September and October. If your sales reach $450 you receive the stamp set featured below, IN ADDITION TO YOUR NORMAL STAMPIN REWARDS!!

I will be back shortly with some samples I have made with this set, I love it!

Heart of Christmas - Week 15

The Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue is now live, and I have been super busy making samples for my up coming classes.

Today's cards use the thinlit set Christmas Staircase, which has a co-ordinating stamp set called Ready for Christmas. If you purchase these two items together as a bundle, you save 10%!

Both cards started out the same way, with the tree image stamped in the first case in Pear Pizazz on Very Vanilla and then in Garden green on Whisper White. I added 6 of the larger foliage sprigs to each stamped image, in the coordinating colour to give the trees a realistic texture. The set come with two of these identical dies for faster cutting, very very handy idea!

For the Pear Pizazz tree I stamped the triple ornament image three times and then embossed in Gold Emboss powder to give me 9 ornaments. I only ended up using 7 ornaments. The Merry Christmas greeting is from the Star of Light Stamp set and was also embossed in Gold Emboss Powder. A star die cut from Gold Foil finished this tree. It was then mounted on Pear Pizazz followed by Crumb Cake cardstock.

For the Garden Green tree I die cut 8 ornaments from Gold Foil paper. The red decoration is Red Mini Tinsel Trim, from the Silver and Red combo pack. I cut short pieces of this trim and used the Tombo Glue to attach it to the tree. A star from Gold Glimmer paper finishes this tree. The greeting was stamped in Real Red and then had a small amount of Gold Tread looped behind it to continue the gold theme. This was then mounted on Real Red and Garden Green cardstock.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my tree creations today. For more Christmas inspiration head to Tina's blog, as she is hosting today while Claire is away.

Happy Stampin,
Rachel
