Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop

It's Tuesday again which means that the Art With Heart Team is back to another colour from the Stampin Up! range.

This week we're featuring Basic Gray.

For this card I inked up the super cute Little Elephant stamp set and used the coordinating punch to punch out the three elephants. The silver and white twine was coloured Soft Sea Foam by dragging it through the ink pad and squishing it in with a sponge dauber. The smaller images are also in the Little Elephant set, with the flowers being coloured by Stampin Write Markers.

Lined Alphabet and Layered Alphabet

It took a few trial and errors to get the cardstock size correct using these dies, but I'm quite happy with how these cards turned out for a first try.

For this card I used the Lined Alphabet to White Emboss each of the letters after they were cut out. The Dragonflies are from the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits.

These letters were left without stamping as I felt the vivid colours stood out on their own. Discontinued Picture Perfect DSP was used to finish the card.

For this card the letters were stamped in the coordinating colour after they were cut out. The Birthday stamp is from the Birthday Banners set. The DSP used here is called Garden Impressions, and the flowers are cut using the Springtime Impressions Thinlits.

Broadway Bundle Cards

This was one of the first bundles that appealed to me in the new catalogue. It's bright and bold and I thought it will make fantastic cards to my older teen children and their friends.

For the first card I used the colours from the Broadway Bound DSP, Lovely Lipstick, Lemon Lime Twist and Basic Black. Inspired by the projects on page 68 of the catalogue I came up with this card.

The Hooray greeting is stamped in Veramark and heat embossed with the new IN COLOUR COLOURED EMBOSSING POWDERS! So excited to have coloured embossing powders back again. On top of the Lovely Lipstick embossing I stamped the dotted image with Versamark and then embossed again with the White embossing powder.

The Lemon Lime Twist frame around the Hooray greeting was coloured with the Wink of Stella pen for a shimmery finish.

The Black Satin ribbon finishes the card.

 The next card I made with this set used the beautiful Gorgeous Grape cardstock and another pattern from the Broadway Bound DSP.

The banner was cut from the new, thinner Gold Glimmer paper( much easier to cut on the Bigshot). WISH was stamped in Gorgeous Grape them the dots embossed in Gold embossing powder. The candles were stamped in Gorgeous Grape and Daffodil Delight then fussy cut.

I love this combination of Gorgeous Grape, Basic Black and Gold.

Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop - Balmy Blue

Today the stampers in the Art With Art Team are showcasing one of the new colours in the Stampin' Up! range, Balmy Blue.. We are going to be featuring another colour every Tuesday night, so pop back next week to see what we have for you.

This week I used Balmy Blue to make a quick baby boy card. Balmy Blue is going to be my new go to colour for baby boy cards from now on. The teddy is from the Baby Bear set and has been stamped in Balmy Blue and Crumb Cake.
