Heart of Christmas week 16 - Sentiment Christmas Circles

I am a hoarder of Designer Series Paper! I have mountains of it. Because of this I am making a concerted effort to use more DSP and hoard less ;).

I have used Sentimental Christmas DSP for tonight's cards. I started by using the Sentimental Christmas Dies to cut out the stockings from a sheet of the DSP.

After all of the stockings were cut out I used various Circle Punches to cut out different images from the remaining paper. A couple of them were discontinued sizes. They are listed below. Once I finished with the circle punch there was nothing left of that sheet of DSP. YAY me!

I embossed a piece of Garden Green card stock with one of the Basics 3D Embossing Folders from the 3 pack that is an Online Exclusive. I arranged the circles and adhered them with Stampin' Seal and Dimensionals. The greeting is from the Sentimental Christmas stamp set and was stamped in Poppy Parade ink and cut out with one of the dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies.

I am determined to start making a dent in my DSP stocks, no more hoarding(less anyway).

Let’s hop over to Sharon Davern’s blog to see what fabulous Christmas project she has to share with us.

Sharon is also the host of our beautiful Heart Of Christmas so if you have any issues with the links in our hop please head to her blog for a complete list of tonight’s participants.

Rachel

Colour Creations Blog Hop week 29 - Gray Granite Classic Wedding

Hi stamping friends, I had a wonderful time playing with a new stamp set bundle from the Online Exclusives range called Classic Wedding for this week's Colour Creations Blog Hop. This week's feature colour is Gray Granite.

The description of the Seasons of Elegance DSP states it includes Gray Granite, but it is only in tiny amounts. I decided to use this beautiful paper for my wedding card anyway.
I stamped the car outline in Versamark on Crumb Cake card stock and embossed it with gold embossing powder.

I coloured the image with the solid stamp and Gray Granite ink. Although the effect is quite subtle it adds a bit of depth to the image. I stamped the tyres in Basic Gray ink.

I cut out the image with the coordinating die. To decorate the back of the card I embossed the outline of the banner in Gold embossing powder, then stamped the greeting in Moody Mauve ink. The leaves are stamped in Pretty Peacock, stamped off once and the flowers are cut from Moody Mauve and Bubble Bath card stock.

I cut a piece of Season of Elegance Paper and matted it on Moody Mauve card stock. The card base is Very Vanilla. On the top right and the bottom left of the card front I stamped some hearts in Versamark and embossed them with Clear embossing powder.

The final element was a piece of Gold Twisted thread wound twice around the card front.

Now it's time to head to the next stop on our blog hop which belongs to my lovely stamping friend and the host of our Colour Creations blog hops Cathy Proctor.
You will also need to head to Cathy's blog if you have any issues with the links in our hop as she has a complete list of tonight's participants.

Make sure to check out the Stampin' Up! Seasonal Sale. Only on until 15/11. Reductions on many items.

Thank you for visiting,
Rachel

Heart of Christmas week 15 - Sparkly Decorative Trees

I'm back for week 15 of the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team. We only have a few weeks left so stay tuned for a healthy dose of Christmas inspiration.

Tonight's card was inspired by one done by Cathy Proctor, one of my fellow blog hoppers, who used a technique demoed by our Stampin' Up! CEO Sara Douglas. Here's the link to Cathy's card.

Here's my card,

I used the leafy stamp from the Decorative Trees Bundle and stamped it on Garden Green Glimmer paper from the Festive Glimmer Pack. The tree was cut with the coordinating die.

Usually I try to avoid direct sunlight to take photos of my cards, but in this instance it was much easier to show the beautiful sparkle on the Garden Green Glimmer paper in the sunlight.

To make my gatefold card I started with the standard half and A4 sheet and scored each short end at 5.25cm.

The paper on both the card front and behind the tree on the square/diamond are from the Take a Bow DSP pack. The greeting is from the Decorative Tree stamp set. I cut the star from White Glimmer Paper for a bit more sparkle.

All of these products are in the beautiful Sept to Dec Mini Catalogue and available through my online store.

Now it's time to visit the next hop in our Blog Hop which is my fabulous stamping friend Cathy Proctor(I cased her card, remember?)

If you encounter any issues please head to Sharon's blog as she is the wonderful host of our Christmas Blog Hops and has a complete list of tonight's participants.

Thank you for hopping by, I hope to be back on Wednesday night for the Colour Creations Blog Hop.

See you then,
Rachel
