Colour Creations Blog Hop week 2 - Balmy Blue

 

Hello there, I'm back with the second week of the Colour Creations Blog Hop.  Each week we will be featuring one of the Stampin' Up! colours in alphabetical order. This week we are featuring Balmy Blue.


Balmy Blue screams baby to me so I got to work with the All For Baby Bundle. I started with Balmy Blue card stock and cut the base for a landscape oriented center step card.


Using the onesie die I cut one from Basic White cardstock and the other two are from the You're A Peach DSP. I stamped the white onesie with the star from the All For Baby stamp set in Balmy Blue ink.


I cut the large rectangle from the Scalloped Contours in Basic White card stock. The Balmy Blue background  has been embossed with the Tasteful Textiles 3D embossing folder, but only the top three quarters, as shown below.


The greeting was heat embossed on the bottom section.


The scalloped rectangle is mounted on a piece of Pear Pizzazz card stock that is only slightly larger than the solid area so that it is just visible through the scallops.


The cute teddy bear is stamped in Crumb Cake ink and the bibs on either side of the main panel are cut from Basic White and Pear Pizzazz card stock. The last component is some White Crinkled Seam Binding that was wound around the Balmy Blue piece and a small bow that was attached with a Glue Dot.

Rose Gold Hand-Penned Petals

 Hi There! To make this card I used the beautiful new Rose Gold Specialty Paper. This paper comes in a pack with two sheets of Rose Gold Paper and teo sheets of Gold Specialty Paper.

The sparkly on this paper is a bit hard to photograph so I made a quick video.


I cut one of the Hand -Penned Petal dies from the Rose Gold Specialty Paper.  The Basic Black piece behind the Rose Gold die cut has been embossed with the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder.


The card base has been has clear embossed with one of the images from the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set.

The greeting is also from the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set and has been embossed in Copper Embossing Powder.

Art With Heart Colour Creation Showcase week 1 2021-2023 In Colours

 

We're back with a new year of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase. We are starting the new year with all 5 of  the new 2021-2023 In Colours. 


Each week we will be featuring one of Stampin' Up!s beautiful colours in alphabetical order. To make tonight's card I have used two new sets from the 2021-2022 catalogue.

Firstly I used the HAPPY stamp from the Biggest Wish stamp set. 

Starting at the bottom of the page I stamped alternatively in the four lighter In Colours until about 2/3 of the card front was covered.


The scripty BIRTHDAY was stamped over the top of the HAPPYs in Evening Evergreen.


On a separate piece of  Basic White card stock I stamped one of the puffins from the Party Puffins stamp set in Memento ink. I also stamped the birthday cake on the card front above the HAPPYs. Both images were coloured with Blends Markers.


The puffin was fussy cut and attached with Dimensionals.
I had fun making this cute card, and I think it would look great in other colour combinations.
