Heart of Christmas, week 5

More Christmas cheer from the Art with Heart Team for you today.

This card was inspired by one shown by Claire Daly a couple of weeks ago. It uses the sleigh from the Santa's Sleigh thinlits, with the top layer in Gold Foil and the base layer cut from the Wood Textures DSP. The background stamping uses the large tree from Lovely as a Tree in Tranquil Tide ink.

To get a lovely shimmer in the background I painted the tree Stamp with the Wink of Stella pen and then stamped. I repeated this a couple of times.
The little holy sprig was stamped with the Holly Berry Happiness set and punch out with the Holly punch. I covered the berries with the Fine Tip Glue Pen and allowed it to dry before I assembled the card.
The Greeting is from the Christmas Pines stamp set and is embossed in gold. I've added a little more Cherry Cobbler with some of the the Double Stitched Ribbon. A couple of small banner ends from Gold Glimmer paper finishes the from of the card.

A complete list of the team members with Christmas cheer can be found on  Claire Daly's blog.

Less than six months till Christmas, time to get started.
Happy Stampin,
Rachel

Art With Heart Team Blog Hop - Favourite New Bundle

Today the Art with Heart Team girls are showing you their favourite bundles from the 2017 Stampin' Up! Catalogue. Bundles make creating a breeze, because of the perfect coordination. It's a bonus that you get 10% off by bundling the products together too. There are 24 bundles in the new catalogue so ask us about them, or for a catalogue today! The bundle I've chosen to feature today is the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Bundle, which includes the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set and the Happy Birthday Thinlit Die.
I've used the Foil Frenzy Specialty DSP, that has 12 sheets of Kraft paper with 3 foil patterns in 4 colours.
To change the background colour of the paper I appiled Memento Black ink with a Sponge Brayer.
It took quite a few applications, but i think the result was worthwhile. It needs to be a waterbased ink like Memento, so that the ink does not stick to or cover the foiled pattern.
I paired the Tangerine Tango paper with one of the new In Colours Lemon Lime Twist and a curl of the beautiful Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon. The greeting is from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set.
The inside of the card is stamped with the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set, in Lemon Lime Twist and Tangerine Tango.

The next stop on our blog hop is the very talented Rebecca Jacovou,
Here's a full list of the Blog Hop participants in case you get lost.

Heart of Christmas, Week 4

This is the fourth week of our Stampin' Up! Heart of Christmas 2017 countdown, with the members of the Art with Heart team.
Only 24 Wednesdays left before Christmas, how the year is flying by.
My Christmas card for today features a couple of my favourite new products.

A Boxwood Wreath Embellishment has been mounted on a square of Wood Texteures DSP, so gorgeous! The hardest bit about this card was unwinding the wreath when it came out of the box. After I managed to do that I attached the ends of the wreath together with a glue dot and attached a few other glue dots around the wreath to secure it to the DSP. The small bow is from Cherry Cobbler Double-Stitched Ribbon and the greeting is from the Merry Mistletoe stamp set, embossed in Gold embossing powder.

The inside of the card has another greeting from the Merry Mistletoe set and a strip of Wood Textures DSP.
I hope our creations are inspiring you to start your Christmas cards. We'll be back next week with more.
If you would like to see what others in our team have created, you can view the participant list over on the blog of our leader, Claire Daly.

Happy Stampin,
Rachel

You've Got Style meets Petal Garden

I had great fun colouring these gals. Both are stamped on Shimmery White paper.  The first one is coloured using Watercolour pencils and a Blender pen.
The background paper is from the Petal Garden DSP stack.
I also used both of the new border punches Ribbon and Ticket Edge, and a little piece of my favourite Ribbon, the Ombré Calypso Coral Ribbon. Lastly, the greeting was die cut using the Layering Circle dies.
I coloured this card using an Aquapainter and the inks. I think this greeting is perfect for this stamp. This DSP is also from the Petal Garden stack and sets off this funky lady perfectly. Here's a close up of the lovely shimmer on the Shimmery White cardstock.
I'll be back soon with more projects I've made with my new goodies. Happy Stampin, Rachel

Heart of Christmas, Week 2

I'm back with our team Christmas inspiration, co ordinated by Claire Daly, through her blog here.
I have a new Christmas stamp set to share with you today. It's called Merry Mistletoe and it's in the new 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! Catalogue. I have also used the coordinating DSP called Be Merry.
Here's a close up of Rudolph's nose, featuring a Candy dot in Cherry Cobbler. The greeting is embossed in white and I added a few loops of the Gold Thread.

This lovely greeting is also included in the set.
Off to play with more of my new toys now, back soon.
 Happy Stampin,
 Rachel
