This week's featured colour is Poppy Parade, which is a wonderful, bright red.
For my cards I used the Needlepoint and Thread Bundle.
While the Sale-a-bration is on you can purchase this Needle and Thread bundle and the coordinating Needlepoint Nook paper and qualify for a FREE Sale-a-bration reward.
For my first card I stamped the large flower image in Poppy Parade and the leaves in Old Olive and cut them out with the coordinating dies. It's a little hard to see in the photo, but the stitching image is stamped under the flower in Crushed Curry. The piece of Needlepoint Nook DSP is bordered by strips of Balmy Blue. The greeting was stamped in Mossy Meadow to finish the card.
The second card is an example of a #simplystamping card. Stampin' Up! is promoting that you only need ink and paper to produce a beautiful card. This month we were also allowed to add a ribbon, I have used the always versatile Linen Tread on this card. The colours I've used are Poppy Parade, Grapefruit Grove, Old Olive and Crumb Cake for the stitching.

Beautiful cards Rachel. My favourite is the second one - it just looks so fresh and is a fantastic example of how simple stamping doesn't have to look "simple". Would be a perfect card for a class.
ReplyDeleteYour cards are great Rachel. I love the simplicity of the second card too.
ReplyDeleteRachel both cards are gorgeous but I'm a sucker for linen thread on anything so my vote has to go to the simple stamping card, just stunning!!! Thank you for hopping along tonight!
