Art With Heart Team Monthly Creative Showcase - April

Welcome to the Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! Team Monthly Creative Showcase. The theme for this month’s showcase is Mother’s Day. Under the current conditions Mother’s Day this year is going to be completely different to any other Mother’s Day celebrations.

This year my family will be seeing our mums' by Facetime instead of in person so that we can all stay safe. We look forward to being together at a later date to celebrate all the occasions we have missed.

The Art With Heart Team are hoping to share a little Mother’s Day love and inspiration with you tonight.

I have made two Mother's Day cards to share with you, I will be sending one to my mum and one to my mother-in-law.

Both cards feature the Tea Together Stamp set, Tea Time Dies and the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper stack.

For the first card I have stamped the teapot and cup and saucer stamps onto the DSP in Versamark then heat embossed with White Emboss Powder. I used to dies to cut out these shapes. The flowers are fussy cut from the Best Dressed DSP. The white and gold accents were cut using the Frosted Bouquet Dies.

The greeting from the Tea Together stamp set was embossed in Gold Emboss Powder and cut using a Layered Oval Die.

There's a couple of small pieces of the Whisper White Crinkled Seam binding amongst the flowers.

The background for the card is cut from Petal Pink using the early release dies called Ornate Layers Dies. These are in the upcoming 2020-21 catalogue, but have been released now and are available to purchase. Love, love love this whole suite. I'll be back tomorrow with more projects from this suite.

The second card uses the same stamp and papers but is a lot more vibrant.

I stamped the teapot and cup and saucer images onto Lovely Lipstick card stock and a sheet of the Best Dressed DSP.

I shaded the edges of the cup and teapot with a Smoky Slate Blends Marker. This gives a bit of dimension to the image. I then fussy cut around the outside of the cup and teapot in Lovely Lipstick and parts of the DSP so that I did not have an edge around my images. I adhered parts of the DSP cup and teapot onto the Lovely Lipstick pieces.

I have again used the dies from the Ornate Layers Dies for the background pieces from the Best Dressed DSP.

The next demonstrator to share her Mother’s Day project is the amazingly talented Sharon Davern,

  3. Both cards are just lovely Rachel. I think the Best Dressed DSP is very well suited to the Tea Together bundle. I love the soft and sweet look of the first card, and then the vibrancy in the second card.
