Colour Creations Blog Hop - week 38 Parakeet Party Planted Paradise

Hi stamping friends, welcome to week 38 of the Colour Creations Blog Hop. Every week we have been featuring on of the Stampin' Up! colours in alphabetical order. This week our projects feature Parakeet Party, a bright, clear green that is one of the In Colours for 2022-2024.

I have used the Planted Paradise stamp set for to night's card. This photo polymer stamp  includes three different pot options and lots of different foliage options.
The pot I chose was stamped in Moody Mauve with the foliage in Parakeet Party, Old Olive and Shaded Spruce.

I added a tiny butterfly in Fresh Freesia that I cut out and mounted on a Dimensional.

The greeting is from the Go To Greetings stamp set and was stamped in Parakeet Party. I have to apologise as I didn't realise that the background DSP is actually Lemon Lime Twist instead of Parakeet Party. As these colours are so similar I don't think it looks out of place.

Now it's time to see what my lovely stamping friend Christine Blain has to share with us.
If you encounter any issues with the links in our hop please head to Cathy's blog as she is the amazing host of our Colour Creations Blog Hop and has a complete list of tonight's participants.

Please follow us around the complete blog hop to see what all of our members have to share with us.
Next week we will be featuring Petal Pink.
Thank you for visiting,
Rachel

  1. The warmth of Moody Mauve is a nice grounding tone for the lovely greens, Rachel. Really pretty card (and we may not have even noticed the background DSP wasn't Parakeet Party, if you hadn't mentioned it!).

  2. Your potted plants look fantastic, and I agree with Christine that Moody Mauve was a great choice for the pot. Haha, I initially labelled my card as LLT - it's an easy mistake to make!

  3. Rachel, snap again on the stamp set and the deckled rectangle dies - I feel like we are so often in synch! Like Christine and Tina, I think your Moody Mauve pot is just perfect.

  4. Yes, those greens are so similar, I had to check twice too. Your card is wonderful with that pot and gorgeous greenery. The split DSP is a great layout behind the Deckled Rectangle.

  5. Too hard to tell the difference between those two greens for it to matter that you used the wrong one. The split background adds the right amount of interest.
