Azure Afternoon Sunrise Sailing

Hi stampers, today I'm sharing the card I made for our team Instagram Hop, with the Art With Heart Team.

Our feature colour is Azure Afternoon so I started by applying Azure Afternoon with a Blending Brush to the top section of the card front.

I punched out a mask with a 2" circle punch which I stuck to the centre of the card front. I applied Lemon Lolly ink with another Blending Brush around the edge of the circle. I used a straight mask across the horizon the applied Coastal Cabana and Pretty Peacock ink. I stamped the wave stamp numerous times over the sea area. To highlight the sunrise I stamped the squiggly line stamp in front of the sun in Versamark then embossed in White Embossing Powder.

The birds were stamped in Secret Sea ink and the yacht was cut from Secret Sea card stock.

Colour Creations Blog Hop week 13 - Blackberry Bliss Traveling Along

Hello  stampers, it's time for another Colour Creations Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team. Every week we have been featuring one of the beautiful Stampin' Up! colours in alphabetical order. This week we're up to Blackberry Bliss. Blackberry Bliss is one of our returning favourite colours that is in our Neutrals colour family. It's probably the least neutral of the Neutrals Colour family but it does co ordinate beautifully with many other Stampin' Up! colours.
For tonight's card I was very excited to have a play with one of the newest Online Exclusive products, the Trucking Along stamp set.
For this card I stamped the truck in Memento Black Ink and coloured with  Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Blends Markers. The flowers are Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Blends Markers and the sides of the truck are Pecan Pie Blends Markers.

The circle is cut from the largest Stylish Shapes Dies. The top half was shaded with a Blending Brush and Balmy Blue ink and the bottom half was blended with Old Olive Ink and a Blending Brush.

The trees are stamped in Memento Black Ink and Old Olive Ink. The trunks were coloured with a Pecan Pie Marker.

The background was coloured with a Foursquare Decorative Mask and a Blending Brush. Lots of Blending Brushes were used for this card. I'm loving this set, i think it will be great for making cards for various themes sending wishes, birthdays and Christmas.

Now it's time to hop over and see what my talented team member Sharon Davern has to share with us.

If you encounter any problems with the links in this hop please head to Cathy Proctor's blog as she is the wonderful host of our Colour Creations Blog Hops and has a complete list of tonight's participants.

Come next week when we share our Blueberry Bushel projects.
Thanks for visiting and happy stamping,

Rachel

Colour Creations Blog Hop week 42 - Real Red Irresistible Blooms

Hello stampers, welcome to week 42 of the Colour Creations Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team. Every week we have been featuring one of the Stampin' Up! colours in alphabetical order.

This week we are featuring Real Red, a lovely rich red colour from the Brights Colour family.
I am using a new bundle called Irresistible Blooms which is available as one of our new Online Exclusive products. Stampin' Up! are releasing Online Exclusive products several times during the year.

These are the first selection of Online Exclusive products. They can only be found in the online store.

I heat embossed the floral images in Black Embossing Powder, on either Shimmery White cardstock or Real Red card stock. I like the vibrant black contrast and the extra texture that the embossing powder gives.

I coloured the Shimmery White card stock with a Water Painter and Real Red ink.

The leaves are cut from Basic Black card stock. Some of the leaves have been coloured with or sparkled with a Wink of Stella pen.

I pull apart some black twine into single threads and attached them behind the leaves. The background paper is a piece of vellum from the Layering Designs pack.
The final touches on this card were some Basic Rhinestone Jewels. The greeting is also from the Irresistible Blooms stamp set and was stamped in Memento Black ink.

If you have any questions about my project or any of the Online Exclusive products please contact me, I'm always happy to chat about stamping. Shop here for Online Exclusives.

Now it's time to head over to Theresa Gerrard and check out the amazing project she has to share with us.

If you have any problems with the links in our blog hop, please head over to Cathy Proctor's blog as she is the host of our hop and has a complete list of tonight's participants.
