Heart of Christmas 2020 - November

Hello stampers, welcome to the final Heart of Christmas Showcase for 2020. I guess that means we're getting close to Christmas! The Art With Heart Team have some wonderful creations to share with you for the final time this year. Not that there won't be plenty of Christmas and other inspiration to come, it just won't be in an organised Heart of Christmas Showcase.
To make tonight's card I used the Pine Woods Dies. One of the dies cuts out only the leaves and trunk of the tree and not the outside, which makes it perfect for a shaker card.

I cut this shape from Very Vanilla card stock, and then with the Stitched Rectangle Dies.

A piece of Window Sheet was adhered behind the die cut. I used Foam Adhesive Strips around the outside of the tree to form a pocket for the shaker card. I placed a pile of sequins on the Mossy Meadow Stitched Rectangle Die and then centered the Very Vanilla piece over the top.

The greeting is from the Itty Bitty Christmas set and was heat embossed in Gold Emboss Powder on a strip of Very Vanilla. The card base is a piece of Thick Very Vanilla card stock.

Thank you for visiting our last Heart of Christmas Showcase. For more Christmas inspiration from the Art With Heart Team head to  Judy's blog for a full list of tonight's participants.
All of the products are from Stampin' Up! and are available on my website.

Happy stamping,

Game On Cards to Share

Hello stampers, I have something a little different to share with you tonight.I bought this stamp set during the sale and thought it was time it saw ink.

I chose Real Red, Basic Black and Basic Gray as my colour palette to reflect the traditional colours in the games.

For my first card I stamped the chess pieces in Memento Black ink and then coloured with Blends Markers in Black, Smoky Slate and the Colour Lifter.

The two squares were cut with the Stitched Shapes Dies. On the Basic Black card base I stamped several of the checkered stamps in Versamark and then heat embossed with White Emboss Powder.

The greeting is perfect for this card and for the second card also.

For the second card I used the playing cards stamp and coloured the stamp directly with the Stampin' Markers in Basic Gray and Real Red. I stamped the same image numerous times in Versamark on the Real Red card base.

I fussy cut the playing cards. The middle panel is Basic Gray card stock that has been dry embossed with the Tasteful Textures 3D embossing folder. There are two angled strips of Silver Foil card stock behind the Basic Gray panel.

All of the products used to make these cards are available through my online store, the links are below.

Art With Heart Monthly Showcase - November 5 Supplies or Less

Welcome to the November Creative Showcase. This month I set a challenge for the Art With Heart Team members to create a card or project using 5 or less supplies. There were some initial gasps of horror at what they were limited to, but I'm sure you'll be amazed with what they've created. I did relent slightly and allow them not to count basics like adhesives and stamp blocks in their 5 supplies.

These cards show our new stampers that even with very limited supplies you can create beautiful projects.

To make my card I pulled out the Hooray to You stamp set. The 5 supplies I used are shown below and the links to purchase any of these products are at the end of the post.

I first inked the main stamp with my Magenta Madness ink pad and stamped onto Thick Whisper White card stock. I chose to use Thick Whisper White as I wanted to use it as my card base and I was conserving supplies. This piece was trimmed to 8.5cm x 12.8cm.

I cut a piece of the Magenta Madness DSP to 10cm x 14.3cm and attached it to a Thick Whisper White card base, which is half a piece of A4 card stock. The balloon image was attached to this.

The final step was to attach Rhinestone Jewels to the center of some of the flowers around the balloon.

I was very pleased with how my 5 supplies card turned out.
