Art With Heart Colour Creations week 29 - Mossy Meadow

Welcome to week 29 of the Art With Heart Colour Creations Showcase. Mossy Meadow is our feature colour today, which is one of our Neutral colours. When Mossy Meadow was first allocated to the Neutrals colour family I was a bit surprised, but it is a base colour that coordinates with heaps of our other colours.

I chose one of my go to colour combinations for Christmas for today's cards. I love the elegant look of  Mossy Meadow with Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla.

For my first card I used the Tree Angle stamp set with the Stitched Triangle Dies. The trees are stamped in a combination of Mossy Meadow and Cherry Cobbler on Very Vanilla card stock.

I used the Stitched Triangle Dies to cut out the trees. The circle in the background is a Very Vanilla Stitched Shape that has been embossed with the Dainty Diamonds Embossing folder.

The panel on the center of the card is Mossy Meadow card stock, embossed with the Pinewood Plank embossing folder.

The greeting is from the Tree Angle stamp set and has been stamped in Cherry Cobbler on Very Vanilla card stock.
For the second card I'm using the Poinsettia Petals bundle. The poinsettia was cut from Very Vanilla card stock. The dies in this set have an outline then a second die that adds the veins on the petals.

The dies in this set have an outline then a second die that adds the veins on the petals. The center of the flowers and the berry sprigs have been cut from Gold Foil paper. The petals have been cut from Mossy Meadow card stock and as with the petals there are two dies, outline and the vein texture.

The background paper is a piece of Poinsettia Plush Specialty DSP over a piece of Very Vanilla card stock. The Merry Christmas greeting is from the Perfectly Plaid stamp set and has been embossed with Gold embossing powder.

Thank you for visiting my blog and seeing what I have to share with you. For more creations from the Art With Heart Team head to Cathy's blog for a complete list of tonight's participants.

This is our final Colour Creations Showcase for this year, we will be back on Jan 6th 2021 with Night of Navy.

Happy stamping,
Rachel

  1. Oh snap Rachel on the Tree Angle card! Isn't this such a lovely stamp set? I love how you've used the 2 embossing folders to pick up the graphic angles of the trees and the pattern on the tree trunks. Your poinsettia card is lovely too. Thank you for creativity, inspiration and participation in the colour creations blog hop in 2020 x

  2. LOVE your cards, Rach! The poinsettia card is supremely elegant. The Tree Angle card, however, is my fave ... love the embossed panels, and your colour choices.

  3. Your cards are so different Rachel. One is quite contemporary and the other has a traditional Christmas feel about it. But, they are both gorgeous and to be honest I can't choose which one I prefer.
