Peek-a-Hoot Doves of Hope

I have combined a couple of my favourite Mini Catalogue products on this card. I have used the Peek-a-Hoot dies and the Dove of Hope stamp set.

The doves were heat embossed in silver no Whisper White card stock. I coloured a few highlights with my Blends markers. I try not to colour on the silver embossing as the markers tend to discolour the silver. It's very hard to see in the photos but I coloured the tips of both doves'wings and the bauble with a Wink of Stella pen to give them a lovely sparkly effect.

The Peek-a-Hoot dies were cut from a piece of In Good Taste DSP. Don't forget this sale finished TOMORROW!

The greeting is heat embossed in silver on the Real Red card stock and the card base is Early Espresso.

Thanks for visiting,

Happy stamping,

Rachel

Christmas in July Countdown 4

Argh, only two days in and I already missed a day. This post is yesterday's post and I'll be back again later with the AWHT Colour Creation which will be today's countdown.

This card is one that I did for my Christmas in July Online class last week. It combines returning and new Christmas products.

The Dove is from the Dove of Hope bundle in the upcoming Aug-Dec Mini Catalogue.

If you don't have a copy and would like one, please contact me.

The background card base has been embossed with the Tasteful Textile embossing folder, and the DSP used is from the Brightly Gleaming Speciality DSP pack which is a returning favourite from last Christmas.

Don't forget, only a couple of days left to earn you Bonus Days Rewards with purchases until the end of July!

Thank you for visiting, I'll be back later with today's card :)

Happy stamping,
Rachel

Christmas in July Countdown - 5

I'm going to count down the last 5 days of July with some Christmas inspiration.

Today's card uses the Dove of  Hope stamp set, but there is not a dove in sight. This set is coming soon in the Aug-Dec Mini Catalogue.

I stamped the branch, bauble and greeting stamp in Versamark and embossed in Silver Embossing Powder.

This piece was cut with one of the Stitched So Sweetly dies.  I used a sponge to colour the background with Balmy Blue ink.

The embossed were coloured with a Water Painter and ink pads in Cherry Cobbler, Balmy Blue, Crushed Curry and Old Olive.

The tabs on the top left corner are strips cut from Red Foil paper.
The card base is Thick Whisper White Paper.

Don't forget the end of July also sees the end of July Bonus Days!

Thanks for visiting,
Happy stamping,
Rachel

Enjoy the amazing projects our team members have to share with you demonstrating these products.
For my card today I have used some of my products from my pre-order for the upcoming August-December Mini Catalogue.
The products used are the Dove of Hope stamp set and the Detailed Dove Dies, which if ordered together in the Dove of Hope Bundle will save you 10%.

For my card I stamped one of the doves in Versamark onto Seaside Spray card stock and embossed with Silver Embossing Powder.

I coloured the dove with White Craft Ink and a Water Painter. While the ink pad was closed I squeezed the top and the bottom of the ink pad together so that a puddle of ink formed inside the lid that I used as my pallet to collect the ink with the Water Painter.
The bauble was painted with a Water Painter and Real Red ink. There is a small section in the middle of the bauble that is painted with a Wink of Stella brush.

The greeting was stamped in Versamark ink and embossed in Silver Embossing Powder. The die used to cut out the greeting is from the All Dressed Up set.
The final touches are two sprigs cut from Red Foil paper and three Rhinestone Jewels.

The next Art With Heart Team member to share their colouring technique with you is the very talented Tina Gillespie.
