Heart of Christmas - Week 6

Week 6 already, for the Heart of Christmas blog hops!
This week I have used the super cute Christmas Crowd stamp set. It features one main image and four appropriate greetings. I haven't used my Aquapainter for a while so I thought this would be a great image to watercolour. I find watercolouring very relaxing and almost therapeutic, I know my classes are always quieter and relaxed when we're watercolouring.
The colour scheme I used for this card is a little different to the usual bright red and greens for Christmas. For this card I chose Merry Merlot and Mossy Meadow for my main colours, which I think still looks traditional but with a twist.

I added some Glimmer White and Silver snowflakes from the Christmas Layers Dies for a bit more dimension.

The second card I have to show you uses the same main image, but this time I stamped the outline in Smokey Slate and coloured very lightly with my Aquapainter. I love this effect, it's very subtle and soft. Two very different cards with the same stamp set.

All the supplies I have used for these cards are listed below, if you have any questions about my projects please contact me.

Thanks for visiting,
Happy stamping,
Rachel

Art With Heart Colour Creations - Real Red

This week the Art With Heart Team are featuring the colour Real Red. I have two very different cards to share with you.
The first one uses the Classic Garage Designer Series Paper Stack and the Life is Grand stamp set.

This DSP is perfect for making quick and easy masculine cards.

This is the anniversary card I made for my hubby for our anniversary last weekend. The rose image has been stamped in Stazon on Window sheet, then coloured from behind with Blends. I cut the coloured image out then adhered it to Dazzling Diamond Glimmer paper with glue dots and again cut around the image. It was attached to the card stock which has been embossed with the Tiled Tin embossing folder.

Thank you for visiting my Real Red creation, for more Real Red inspiration head to Cathy's blog for a full list of tonight's participants.
Next we'll be featuring Rich Razzleberry, see you then.

Make sure you check out the new Stampin' Storage, now available from Stampin' Up!

Happy stampin,
Rachel
