Colour Creations Showcase week 3 Basic Gray

I'm back with week 3 of the Colour Creations Blog Hop featuring Basic Gray, one of our Neutral Colours. Every week we are featuring one of our beautiful colours in our blog hops in alphabetical order. I have chosen to pair Basic Gray with Smoky Slate, a lovely delicate gray and three other soft colours, Soft Sea Foam, Balmy Blue and Fresh Freesia.

The stamp set I'm using is Handsomely Suited and the matching papers from the Jan to June Mini Catalogue, Well Suited DSP.

I cut a strip of three different DSP to the width of the card. I stamped three of the bow ties, two of one and one of the other in Basic Gray ink. They were coloured with Blends Markers in Soft Sea Foam and Fresh Freesia.

There are matching dies in the Suit and Tie dies but I chose to fussy cut them so that I did not have a white border around the ties. The ties are each mounted on a circle of Smoky Slate card stock.

I used the greeting from the Art Gallery stamp set and stamped Happy Birthday repeatedly across two strips of Basic White card stock, in Basic Gray ink.
