Introducing the 2021-2023 In Colours - Pale Papaya

Here is the third new 2021-2023 in colour called Pale Papaya.

Pale Papaya is a light orange shade that fits more with the oranges than I have shown in the comparison above.

To showcase Pale Papaya I have again used the Colour & Contour stamp set and dies bundle.

I used the scallop border dies to cut the edge of a piece of 2021-2023 In Colour DSP. This was mounted on a Thick Basic White card base. I stamped a greeting from the Etched in Nature stamp set in Pale Papaya.

I stamped and die cut the daisy image three times and arranged them on the front of the card. Before I attached the flowers I wrapped a piece of the Open Weave Ribbon around the card front.

I will be back tomorrow with the fourth new In Colour - Evening Evergreen.

Thanks for visiting,
Rachel

Introducing the new In Colours 2021-2023 Soft Succulent

I have the second new In Colour to share with you tonight, Soft Succulent. This soft, muted green has a touch of gray in it and will be perfect for colouring our succulent stamps (of course).

I have made this colour comparison to show you where Soft Succulent fits into our colour range.

The card I have made to feature this colour uses the Colour and Contour stamp set, which is available from the 4th of May in the 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. If you do not have a copy yet and do not already have a demonstrator let me know and I will send one to you.

Again I have used the Scalloped Contour dies for the background, making a frame from one to highlight the floral sprig.

I have stamped the greeting in Soft Succulent then fussy cut around the different lines to make it another feature on the card. The final addition is a piece of Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon. These lovely ribbons are available in all 5 new In colours.

Don't forget to check the Last-Chance Products sale to pick up some bargains!

Thanks for visiting,
Rachel

Introducing the 2021-2023 In- Colours - Polished Pink

One of the things I love about being a Stampin' Up Demonstrator is that we get to see the new catalogues early! And to preorder from them so that we can excite you with amazing new products and prepare for our events.

Presenting the 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalogue.....

As this is a new annual catalogue we also have 5 new in colours added to the range, to replace the 5 that have departed.

All of the new colours are available in ink pads, ink refills, Blends Markers, Open Weave Ribbon, A4 Card Stock, 12"x 12" Card Stock, Stampin Write Markers, a Designer Series Paper Pack and In Colour Shimmer Vellum.

I am going to introduce these new colours to you one at a time over the next 5 days.

Today's colour is Polished Pink.

I have done a comparison chart to show you where Polished fits into our range by comparing it to our current pink shades.
Polished pink strikes me as a candy pink that has warm undertones like Melon Mambo and not cooler tones like Magenta Madness. It looks lovely as a companion colour to Melon Mambo, which we haven't had for a while.

For my Polished Pink card I cut one of the butterflies from the Brilliant Wings dies from the pink Shimmer Vellum paper.

It's a bit hard to photograph but I think you can see the beautiful shimmer and sparkle on the butterfly.

The scalloped rectangles in the background have been cut using the new Scalloped Contours dies. The middle rectangle is cut from a piece of In Colour 2021-2023 DSP. As I feature all of the new colours I plan to use all of the Scalloped Contour dies. They co ordinate with the Colour and Contour Stamp set and have 5 different size rectangles, all with different edge finishes. The set also has a scalloped edge and two flower dies. The Scalloped Contours bundle will be available through my online store from the 4th of May.

I hope you will pop back tomorrow to see the next In Colour peek, Soft Succulent.

If you live in Australia and don't have your own demonstrator and would like a copy of the new catalogue, contact me and I will mail one to you.

Please contact me with any questions.

See you tomorrow,
Rachel

Art With Heart Monthly Creative Showcase - March theme Mother's Day

Today the Art With Heart Team are sharing their Monthly Creative Showcase with you. This month we have Mother's Day theme cards to share with you.  Although we only need one or at the most two Mother's Day cards every year all of these designs could be used for other occasions such as birthdays or congratulations with a simple change of greeting.

I have two Mother's Day cards to share with you today.

The first card used the Prized Peony stamp set and the soon to be discontinued Peony Garden DSP.

I stamped the single flower bloom three times in Gray Granite ink on Basic White card stock. These were then coloured with the Blends Markers. One was Petal Pink with the Colour Lifter, the next Petal Pink and a tiny bit of Flirty Flamingo and the last one with Calypso Coral. The leaves are coloured in Old Olive.

I've used a small piece of Peony Garden DSP as the background. The greeting from the Strong & Beautiful stamp set was stamped in two parts. I first inked the Happy part of the stamp and stamped it on the card stock. I then cleaned the stamp and inked the Mother's Day section and stamped it under the Happy. The greeting was then cut using one of the Ornate Layers Dies.

The final embellishments were some Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon and Polka a Dot Tulle behind the flowers before they were attached to the card.

The card base is Gray Granite and the mat is Petal Pink.

For the second card I have used the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and dies which are not continuing to the next catalogue and therefore are only available until sold out.

I stamped the main image in Memento Black on Basic White card stock and then coloured with So Saffron, Old Olive and Soft Suede Blends Markers.

I stamped the Happy Mother's Day from the Strong & Beautiful stamp set on the So Saffron back ground in Versamark ink to give a subtle effect. I stamped it again on Basic White card stock in Memento Black ink.

The final touch was a few Rhinestone Jewels scattered around.

Don't forget that the items I have used in these projects that are not carrying over to the new catalogue are only available until sold out. Contact me if you have any questions.
