Hippest Hippos Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration

It's Sale-A-Bration time at Stampin' Up! These gorgeous Hippos and the co ordinating Hippo Dies are two of the rewards that you can earn for free with a $90 purchase.

These guys are so cute! I stamped lots of images in Memento Black Ink and coloured them with Smoky Slate Blends Markers.
For the first card a cut out one of each of the images with the matching dies and mounted them on circles cut from the Stylish Shapes Dies.

I coloured the background with one of the Butterflies and Flowers Layering Masks, that is sadly discontinued now. As this card is longer than standard I had to mask the top half of the card first and then move the mask to cover the bottom of the card. I used a small amount of tape to hold the mask in place.

The tiny flower and umbrella were cut from the Hippo Dies from card scraps.

For the second card I used another of my coloured Hippos. The background of this card was masked with a mask from the Basic Borders Dies and Blending Brushes. I masked some of the clouds on to the card base with Crumb Cake ink.

The waves were cut from another of the Basic Borders Dies. I used some of the Snowfall Accents Puff Paint. I hope it looks like white caps on the waves.

The boat was cut from Crumb Cake and the sunglasses are Sweet Sorbet. I couldn't decide on a greeting for this card so I left it blank.

Although Sale-a-bration goes until the end of August the various Sale-a-bration rewards are only available until sold out. As these Hippos have been super popular, if you would like your own set I suggest ordering ASAP.

Please contact me with any questions, I'm always happy to talk card making and Stampin' Up!

Happy stamping,
Rachel

Colour Creations Blog Hop week 10 Blushing Bride - Happiness Abounds

Hello stampers, it's week 10 of the Colour Creations Blog Hop with the Art With Heart Team. We have been working our way through the Stampin' Up! colours in alphabetical order. This week we are featuring Blushing Bride. Blushing Bride is the lightest pink in our range and tonight I chose to pair it with silver and white.

My card uses the Happiness Abounds Bundles and the Split Card Textures Dies.

I used the grid die from the Split Card Textures Dies to cut a mask from the Masking Paper, that I then gently stuck to the bottom left corner of the card front. I used a Blending Brush to apply Blushing Bride ink over the mask.

The flowers from the Happiness Abounds stamp set were heat embossed in silver embossing powder and coloured with a Water Painter and Blushing Bride ink.

I cut the largest foliage in the Forever Flourishing Dies from silver foil paper. I cut this into smaller pieces to spread between the flowers. The other foliage die from the Forever Flourishing Dies was cut twice from the Vellum Layering Designs.

The greeting is from the Happiness Abounds stamp set and has been embossed in silver embossing powder. This card turned out exactly as I imagined, very soft and subtle.

Now it time for the next hop in our blog hop which belongs to Cathy Proctor. Cathy is also the wonderful host for our Colour Creations Blog Hops. If you encounter any issues with our hops head to Cathy's blog for a complete list of tonight's participants.

Next week we'll be back with Cajun Craze.

Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration and July to Dec Mini Catalogue have started. If you would like a copy of either of these catalogues and do not already have a demonstrator, contact me and I will send one out to you.

Heart of Christmas Blog Hop 2022 - week 1 Decorated With Happiness Bundle

Welcome to week 1 of the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop 2022.

This week I have two cards to share with you that I made using the Decorated With Happiness Bundle.

I cut one each of the baubles from Glimmer Gold Paper and Gold Foil Paper. I then reassembled the baubles using the pieces from the opposite paper.

The branch for the top card is cut from green Glimmer Paper and the bow from Gold Foil Paper. I used the largest frame from the new Fabulous Frames Dies as a border for the bauble.

For the second card the branch is cut from Soft Succulent card stock and the bow is from the Very Vanilla Satin Edged Ribbon.

The background for the bauble is Merry Merlot card stock. The corners of the center panel were cut using the Very Best Trio Punch.

The background for this card is a piece of Evening Evergreen from the 6"x 6" DSP from last year as I have not received the new ones for this year yet.

I hope we are inspiring you to make a start on your Christmas cards. The next stop on our hop is the blog belonging to Sharon Daven, who is also the host of our Christmas blog hop. If you have any problems with the links in this hop head to Sharon's blog as she will have a complete list of tonight's participants.

All of the supplies used for these projects are listed below.

Thanks for visiting,
Rachel
