Heart of Christmas Blog Hop - Week 7

Welcome to week 7 of the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop.

To day I have a cute set of cards featuring the So Santa stamp set.

These little Santas are so sweet, my favourite is the surfing Santa, very appropriate for our Australian summer.

All images have been stamped in Memento ink and coloured with Stampin' Blends Markers.

This dude has a tropical feel with DSP from the Tropical Escape stack and palm fronds cut from the Tropical Chic Thinlits.

Scooting Santa uses DSP from the Under the Mistletoe pack and a couple of snowflakes from the Blizzard thinlits die.

The final card is for the Christmas cooks, which I am not! The DSP here is from the All is Bright pack and the holly sprigs in Real Red are from the Detailed Poinsettia Dies.

I loved making these fun cards.

Art With Heart Colour Creations Blog Hop

This week's featured colour is Flirty Flamingo.

This card uses the flower stamp from the Botanical Bliss stamp set. It has been stamped numerous times in Stazon on Shimmery White card stock, then coloured with an Aquapainter and inks. The background has been lightly coloured with Pool Party.

A cut out from the Botanical dies was placed underneath the greeting.

Here's a close up of the Shimmery card stock.

For the second card I used the butterfly image from the Beautiful Day stamp set.

The butterfly was stamp and embossed in Gold embossing powder and then fussy cut. It was also watercoloured with an Aquapainter. The background butterflies were stamped in Flirty Flamingo ink on Flirty Flamingo card stock.

Art With Heart Blog Hop September - Holiday Catalogue Theme

Tonight the Art with Heart team are sharing creative projects featuring the Holiday Catalogue. We hope our blog hop inspires you to get creative and make some fabulous Christmas creations. This Santa and friends from Sign of Santa stamp set and framelits bundle are soooo cute..

I love colouring with the Stampin' Blends markers and these images are perfect to colour.

The first card I made features Santa and Mrs Claus. They were both coloured using Blends in the following colours, Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Smoky Slate, Petal Pink and Shaded Spruce. The background DSP are from the Santa's Workshop Speciality DSP and the card base is Shaded Spruce.

The next card features the same bundle, this time the cheeky elves. The elves were coloured with Shaded Spruce, Poppy Parade, Petal Pink and Daffodil Delight Blends, then cut out with the thinlits.
The stack presents was stamped directly onto the Whisper White background. The bottom right corner of the Whisper White was sponged with Pool Party ink. The card base is Bermuda Bay.

The final card features Santa and his elf getting ready for Christmas. I need to start thinking about this too, eeek! 

Back to the card, all images were stamped directly onto the Whisper White and then coloured with Stampin Blends Markers.

The night sky was sponged with Night of Navy after I masked the images to prevent them being sponged. It doesn't show very well in the photo but there is a strip of White Glimmer paper above and below the image, followed by a this strip of Night of Navy cardstock.

Heart of Christmas - week 6

I've made it back for week 6 of the Heart of Christmas Blog Hops. Although it's only September we're well into making Christmas cards.
This week I have been having a play with one of the hostess sets in the Holiday Catalogue, called Hung With Care. This set is only available with a minimum order of $250, either from a workshop or an individual sale.

This first card uses the super cute elf stocking which has been coloured directly onto the rubber with Stampin' Write Markers. The image was then fussy cut and attached with Dimensionals. Three red rhinestones add a bit of sparkle.

The second card uses the same set but this time features White Heat Embossed images. Four different stockings were stamped and embossed on Real Red, Call Me Clover, Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green.

I love the simple brightness of this card, it makes my smile.
