Heart of Christmas Week 9 - Sweets & Treats

Welcome to week 9 of the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop. Do you realise that there is less than 4 months until Christmas? Now is the time to get started on making your Christmas cards so follow our blog hop through to receive lots of fabulous inspiration.

For my card I have chosen to use the Sweets & Treats stamp set that I used last week.

For this card I stamped the pudding onto Basic White card stock in Memento Black ink. I coloured the image with Blends Markers. The colours I used are listed below.

I stamped the stand image on a piece of wood grain DSP from the In Good Taste DSP pack. This was cut out by hand and then attached under the pudding. The whole image was cut out using one of the Stitched So Sweetly scalloped rectangle dies.

The cloche image was stamped on Window Sheet in Stazon Ink. I used Stazon Ink as it is an alcohol based ink that is made to dry on non porous surfaces, such as plastic Window Sheets.

I used the matching Die from the Cloche Dies set to cut the Window Sheet.

I selectively inked one of the greetings from the Holly Jolly Wishes stamp set on to Basic White card stock in Real Red ink and then separated the Merry and Christmas. The bow on the top of the cloche is from Real Red Sheer Ribbon and was attached with a Glue Dot.

The next stop on our blog hop belongs to my lovely friend Christine Blain. You will love the stunning project she has to share with us.

The team will be back on Wednesday night with the Colour Creations Showcase, this week featuring Crushed Curry.

Thanks for visiting,
Rachel

Colour Creations Showcase week 13 - Crumb Cake

Welcome to week 13 of the Colour Creations Showcase with the Art with Heart Team, Every week we are featuring one of the Stampin' Up! colours. For week 13 we are featuring one of our Neutral colours, Crumb Cake. Crumb Cake is my favourite go to Neutral colour.

This week I decided to use Crumb Cake card stock as the background for some plum puddings and hearts. The stamp set I used is Sweets & Treats from the July to Dec Mini Catalogue.

The puddings and hearts were stamped in Memento Black ink.

I coloured the images with both of the Watercolour Pencil Assortments. The colours I used were Early Espresso, White, Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Flirty Flamingo, Pumpkin Pie, Granny Apple Green and Garden Green.

I wrapped Linen Thread a couple of times around the bottom of the card and then tied a bow. The greeting is stamped in Real Red ink on Basic White card stock. I cut a banner end on the right side of the greeting and attached it to the card with Dimensionals.

The mat behind the Crumb Cake piece is Real Red and the card base is Granny Apple Green.

All of the products I have used to make this card are listed below and are available in my online store.

For more amazing Crumb Cake inspiration the next stop on our blog hop is the lovely Rosa Leyden.

Colour Creations Showcase Week 12 Coastal Cabana

It's week 12 of the Colour Creations Showcase and I have two really cute cards to share with you. Each week for the last 12 weeks we have been featuring one of the Stampin' Up! colours and we are up to Coastal Cabana. The link to the next stop on the blog hop is below my projects. You can find a full list of tonight's participants on Cathy Proctors blog, the link is at the end of this post.

For my first card I used the very cute Penguin Builder Punch and a couple of our Specialty papers. The multi coloured clouds were cut from Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay and Basic White card stock using one of the Basic Borders Dies.

The top section of the card and the balloon are cut from the Rainbow Glimmer Paper. I used a discontinued Balloon Punch to cut the balloon.

The black section of the penguin was cut from Black Glimmer paper. He's sooooo sparkly! His white face and tummy are cut from Basic White card stock. His feet are cut from Pumpkin Pie card stock. All of these pieces were cut with the Penguin Builder Punch.

His eyes and beak are stamped in Memento Ink and Pumpkin Pie ink.

The greeting is from the Biggest Wish stamp set and was stamped in Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay ink.

The second card is one that I made for my oldest son's 22nd birthday. Unfortunately it was his second birthday in lockdown. He has decided not try and organise any more parties until his 30th birthday, hopefully the situation will have improved by then! :)

I cut angled strips of Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay and Granny Apple Green card stock and added a strip of Black Glimmer paper to one side. I then layered the pieces to the front of a Basic Black card base.

The Happy Birthday was cut with a die from the Birthday Chick Dies. The 22 was cut using the Playful Alphabet and the sparkly swirl was cut using one of the Seasonal Swirls Dies.

The next stop on our blog hop is back to the start to the lovely Sharon Davern.
