Welcome to week 5 of Heart of Christmas Blog Hop which I am helping to coordinating this week. There is a full list of tonight's participants listed at the end of this post in case you are joining the hop part way through or if you have encountered a problem.
For my cards this week I have used the Whimsical Trees bundle. This bundle includes a lovely combination of stamped and die cut trees that look delightful together. There is also a beautiful bauble stamp that I will show you in later cards.
I have used the two new In Colour greens, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen as well as Basis White to make these cards.
For this card I have stamped in Evening Evergreen and embossed using White Emboss Powder. All of the tree decorations were cut from the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper Sale-a-bration reward which is available from tomorrow!
The greeting was also heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.
For the second card I cut the largest tree die from Evening Evergreen card stock.
The background paper is Shimmery White card stock which has been lightly coloured with a Soft Succulent wash with a Water Painter. The stars in the background have been heat embossed in Clear Emboss Powder and are from the Angels of Peace stamp set.
I have lots more cards to show you using this set so stay tuned!
The next stop on this week's blog hop is the lovely Amie McIlroy, so head on over to see her beautiful Christmas project.
Here is the complete list of Art With Heart Team members who are participating in tonight's Blog Hop. Make sure you visit each of them to view their beautiful projects and be sure to leave some comments to share the love.

I really love the layout of your first card, Rachel! Great way to show off the different sized and shaped trees; love it! The subtle stars in the background of your second card add such beautiful detail to your design.
ReplyDeleteRachel I like the way the different trees are arranged and particularly the white embossing on Evening Evergreen. That is a beautiful sentiment from that set and those dazzling star toppers are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThese greens work so well together on your beautiful Christmas cards, Rachel. The Be Dazzling DSP really adds such a special touch too.
ReplyDeleteLove your cards Rachel. Really love the simplicity of the second card with the background of emboss resist and sponging. Simple but beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteSo love your cards Rachel. A great layout that shows off the different trees from the Whimsical Trees bundles so well. I love the way you have used this bundle on both cards but created different atmospheres. Different but both so delightful. xxx
ReplyDeleteI love your subtle watercolour wash, Rachel and the use of the two InColor greens. This is a great design for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteTwo very lovely cards Rachel. The two In Colour greens look so elegant together. I love the soft water colour wash of Soft Succulent and the lovely clear embossed starry sky on your second card and the layout of the three trees on your first card.
ReplyDeleteA couple of really lovely cards Rachel. I especially love the use of the Be Dazzling for the tree ornaments
ReplyDeleteLovely cards, great to see the in-colour greens being used. I am really taken by the soft succulent card with its subtle feel but the evergreen demands attention too! with its boldness which you used with great effect with the die and the card base.
ReplyDeleteTwo great cards and a great use of the Whimsical Trees bundle.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the inspiration. I cased your card & credited you on my blog. https://stampwithmj.com/2021/11/03/card-three-ways/
