For my first card I used the very cute Penguin Builder Punch and a couple of our Specialty papers. The multi coloured clouds were cut from Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay and Basic White card stock using one of the Basic Borders Dies.
The top section of the card and the balloon are cut from the Rainbow Glimmer Paper. I used a discontinued Balloon Punch to cut the balloon.
The black section of the penguin was cut from Black Glimmer paper. He's sooooo sparkly! His white face and tummy are cut from Basic White card stock. His feet are cut from Pumpkin Pie card stock. All of these pieces were cut with the Penguin Builder Punch.
The greeting is from the Biggest Wish stamp set and was stamped in Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay ink.
The second card is one that I made for my oldest son's 22nd birthday. Unfortunately it was his second birthday in lockdown. He has decided not try and organise any more parties until his 30th birthday, hopefully the situation will have improved by then! :)
I cut angled strips of Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay and Granny Apple Green card stock and added a strip of Black Glimmer paper to one side. I then layered the pieces to the front of a Basic Black card base.
The Happy Birthday was cut with a die from the Birthday Chick Dies. The 22 was cut using the Playful Alphabet and the sparkly swirl was cut using one of the Seasonal Swirls Dies.
The next stop on our blog hop is back to the start to the lovely Sharon Davern.

Happy stamping,

Rachel, I LOVE both of your cards! Oh my goodness - that sparkly little penguin is just too cute. The layered "clouds" look awesome, and I particularly like how you stamped the sentiment on the white cloud strip. Great colour combo for Bryce's card, and I really like your creative use of the "wreath" to encircle the glittery numbers. You have aced the Coastal Cabana challenge. :)
ReplyDeleteRachel you have really smashed it out of the park this week. Firstly, can I say I'm so sorry this is your son's second birthday in lockdown. I simply adore your sparkly penguin - he is super cute!
ReplyDeleteBoth these cards are fabulous, you really have a way with colours. I like the touches you added to your son's card with the black glimmer paper.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, two great cards Rachel. Your penguin floating through the clouds is so so cute. I love his sparkles. Your second card is so clever and a great colour combination. I’m sorry your son is having a second birthday in lockdown. Take care xxx
ReplyDeleteGreat cards Rachel. The first one is super cute. I love those clouds and the Rainbow Glimmer at the top is gorgeous. Your son's card is a really cool use of a variety of products, that all come together so well.
ReplyDeleteTwo great cards Rachel but my favourite is the penguin one. It's so cute and I love how you created the clouds with the border die. Great use of the Glimmer paper too
ReplyDeleteTwo great cards, but I love the monochromatic clouds on the penguin card.
ReplyDeleteI love both of your monochromatic cards Rachel but I must say that the first is super cute. I particularly like the way you have used the border dies, various shades of blue/green and the glitter paper together for your background. Great idea.
ReplyDeleteGreat cards Rachel. I just love all the sparkle on your very cute penguin card.
