Hello, and welcome to week 10 of the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop. Every Monday evening we are inspiring you with beautiful hand stamped cards using Stampin' Up! products. All of the products used to make our amazing projects are available through the Stampin' Up! online store. The links for the products I used are listed at the end of this post.
For tonight's cards I have used the bauble image from the Whimsical Trees stamp set, along with a couple of the greetings.
For my first card I heat embossed the baubles numerous times in Silver Emboss Powder.
I thought this was the perfect opportunity to us my Stamparatus. Unfortunately the width of the stamp and the width of the different settings on the Stamparatus are not compatible, so I made my own template to use on the Stamparatus which allowed me to reposition my piece of card stock the perfect distance to have an equal gap between the sets of baubles.
If you would like to make your own template the lines are 22mm apart.
Once I had embossed bauble across the width of the card I coloured them with Blends Markers in Polished Pink, Mint Macaron, Misty Moonlight and Light Flirty Flamingo.
The bow was made from Frayed Grosgrain Ribbon, that is in the July to Dec Mini Catalogue. The card base is Mint Macaron.
For the second card I stamped the baubles once in Memento Black on one of the scalloped rectangles from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. These dies are my FAVOURITES. I use them so often because they are so versatile!
The baubles were coloured with Blends Markers.
The greeting was also stamped in Memento Black ink.
I tied some Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon around the top and added a separate bow. The paper in the background is from the Whimsy & Wonder DSP that is in the same suite as the stamp set.
I stamped and coloured the holly and attached it to the ribbon.
For more Christmas inspiration it's time to see what the very clever Andrea Sargent has to share with us.
Thanks fro visiting,
Happy stamping,
Rachel
I haven't used this bauble stamp yet, but you have inspired me to, Rach. Lovely cards ... and very clever of you, creating your own template for the Stamparatus. I love the colours and ribbons you've used. That stripey paper is so pretty, isn't it? Lovely work.
ReplyDeleteYour cards are both so pretty. The row of baubles looks amazing, but especially love the second card with the popped up baubles. It's so sweet.
ReplyDeleteI love the pretty colour palette you chose to use on your cards Rachel. I really like your row of Christmas baubles and the way you fussy cut the three on your second card.
ReplyDeleteI like how you have picked colours from the DSP for your two lovely cards.
ReplyDeleteYour cards are so pretty Rachel and love the two different presentations of the trio of baubles and such beautiful colours. Love the second card with the background stripes.
ReplyDeleteBoth lovely cards, Rachel, with these gorgeous non-traditional Christmas colours. I love how you fussy cut the baubles on your 2nd card and popped them up!
ReplyDeleteOh Rachel your colouring is amazing! Such a modern twist on the traditional Christmas decorations and wonderful bows on both your cards.
ReplyDeleteRachel your cards are both so bright and happy. I love the way you have repeatedly stamped the ornaments on card one. It makes such a lovely garland.
ReplyDeleteLovely cards Rachel and I apologize in advance as I have something similar coming next week. I've been wanting to use the picture in the catalogue for inspiration
