Colour Creations Blog Hop week 24 Magenta Madness

Welcome to week 24 of the Colour Creations Blog Hop. Each week we have been featuring one of the Stampin' Up! colours. This week we are showcasing Magenta Madness, which is one of the 2020-2022 In Colours.

For tonight's card I have used the Delivering Cheer stamp set. This stamp set is in the July to December Mini Catalogue and has Christmas images that can also be used birthday cards.

I stamped the skirt image and the presents image in Stazon Black ink on Fluid 100 watercolour paper. These stamps are photopolymer (clear) which makes it easy to join the two images when stamping them.

I fussy cut the image with paper snips.
On a piece of Basic White card stock I stamped the background image from the Artistically Ink  stamp set in Smoky Slate Ink.

I coloured the image with a Water Painter and Magenta Madness ink. I used a very small amount of Petal Pink ink on the arms and legs.
I stamped the greeting from the Best Year stamp set in Magenta Madness and Basic Gray and then cut out the words and adhered them with Dimensionals to the card front.

Inside the card I stamped just the presents by selectively inking the presents stamp, avoiding the lower present and the arms. I used Basic Gray ink so that I could colour the image with Magenta Madness Blends Markers.
The greeting inside is also from the Best Year stamp set.

I coloured some of the Rhinestone Jewels with the Magenta Madness Blends Markers and left some clear.

The next stop in our Magenta Madness Blog Hop is the blog of the amazingly talented Rachel Palmieri

Product List

  1. Rachel your card is gorgeous. I love how you have have fussy cut the elements so that you could create so much lovely dimension.

  2. Beautiful use of colour, Rachel; this is a really lovely card. I love the grey "splotchy" background - a perfect complement to the pinks. All of the elements on your card are so beautifully put together, and your colouring of the main image is fabulous.

  3. So retro, and beautifully done Rachel. You never can have too much pink apparently! She reminds me of the pink ladies in "Grease".

  4. What a lovely card, Rachel. That gray background is just perfect and adds a wonderful shadow around your pink lady with the pile of presents. Beautifully coloured too!

  5. This is a gorgeous card Rachel. I just love the monochromatic look to it. I love pink and grey together, they were our Wedding colours. I just noticed Kate's ending comment, and have to say 'ditto' - beautifully coloured.

  6. Rachel your card is just lovely as is your beautiful colouring. The soft grey background compliments the image perfectly

  7. Wow, Rachel, this is an amazing card. I love the way you've used that stamp from the Artistically Inked stamp set to create the shaded background.
